Mkay. Seeing as you are on level 4 Crystarium still? Yeah I guess so xD. Well anyway you want to try to go and fight the adamantoises in the plains. I mean the ones where you have to knock their legs out from under them to hit their head.

But here's what you do:
A)Have your paradigm's set up as the follows(In this order too)
1:Synergist, Synergist, Synergist (Rapid Growth)
2:Sentinel, Sentinel, Sentinel (Turtle?)
3:Ravager, Ravager, Ravager (Tri-disaster)
4:Commando, Commando, Medic (Can't remember)
5:Synergist, Saboteur, Saboteur (Can't remember)
6:Commando, Commando, Commando (Cerberus)
MUSTS FOR CHARACTERS: YOU HAVE TO HAVE MOST OF THE SKILLS FOR SYNERGIST AND SABOTEUR. MOST OF THE BUFFS WILL BE USED

B)Okay now that you have all that setup you want to go and make sure that you start off with the Rapid Growth Paradigm. As soon as the fight starts, cast Protectra or whatever it's called on one of your teammates. After that, cast it on the other teammate. By then you should have an attack buff and a protect buff on all of you because one of your teammates will cast shield on you. After that is done (Which should only be 2 turns) go ahead and switch to the Tri-Disaster Paradigm (You may have to use Ravager, Ravager, Medic if your health is low on your characters) When you switch, pick one of the legs to attack and go at it until it breaks. Once it breaks switch to the Commando, Commando, Medic and attack that leg. If it doesn't lose all of its health before it breaks, switch back to the Tri-disaster and break it again. Do the same thing with the other leg. Now right when you kill the second leg, make sure you switch to the Synergist, Saboteur, Saboteur Paradigm because you want your teammates to debuff while you do Bravery and Faith on your teammates. Now as soon as he is debuffed and you and your teammates have Faith(ra) and Brave(ra) on them, switch to the Tri-Disaster. Keep casting spells on him until he goes over 900% on his break bar. Once he does, switch to Cerberus and kick the crap out of him. You should be able to kill him. If not just do all this over again. If it's not able to be done in one cycle, it takes two and it's over.

He gives 30k CP per kill (60k with CP Egg equipped)

So yeah this will give you TONS of CP really fast once you get the hang of it.

WARNING: Whatever you do don't go for the big big BIG ones with chains all over them! They will possibly rape you! At least I think they will...unless those are the ones I'm talking about lol.
Well just find the one that doesn't have chains (I can't remember if there is one cause I haven't touched the game in 2 months) and use this tactic. You should kill him easily.

Oh and btw, My party was Fang, Lightning, and Vanille. Vanille was the healer. I also had Fangs super attack. For me it wipes out the leg in one hit but I do have a Genji Glove on her with her Omega Weapon. So I wouldn't use it unless you have those two things. Good grinding! xd

EDIT: Almost forgot to say what the Turtle Paradigm is for. It's a just in case thing because if he is going to use quake or something. Right before he uses it, switch to that Paradigm and it cuts the damage because they are all Sentinels and one sentinel cuts damage by a certain percent. Three cut it EVEN MORE. So yeah ;D

What I do in the early levels (since I am still in the early levels) is just run the path between 2 save points and fight everything again and again. A grindfest!

But here's a little trivia I learned in my grindfest:

(1) The other characters who are not in-play, also gets the CP you get. So for example, you are playing Sahz and Vanille, Lightning and the rest who are not present will also get the CP you earned.

(2) When you cast Libra, and you find out that a monster is weak against, let's say, fire... Your comrades will start using ONLY fire on that monster. So use Libra whenever you can. This also grants you a trophy if you're into that kind of thing; that is, if you grind enough to even get the rare drops of the monsters too.

(3) For gil, the best thing to sell at early levels are the phoenix downs. When you combat, do not plan to die, so why keep phoenix downs? But don't sell all; they still matter at certain points. (Like boss fights)

(4) When grinding, going offensive is the best move. This grants you 5 stars for the item drops. So set your default paradigm shift to a more offensive setting. Aim to stagger. So gaining Initiative is a must. Do not allow your target to use his big gun. The idea is "he died early (or was too busy flying in the air being hit) so he wasn't able to use his super move."

(5) Commandos make the stagger meter go down slowly. Ravagers make the stagger meter grow rapidly. During stagger, if a monster is hit by a Commando, his stagger recovery is slower. So when grinding and you plan to stagger a target, it is nice to have both at first; then when the target is staggering, you can shift to Com/Com/Com or Rav/Rav/Rav whichever hits harder. If a commando has "Launch" though then have one ready when a target is staggered. On that note, a Sentinel's provoke has the same effect to the stagger meter as a Commando and is more useful when there are many targets.

(6) A smart use of paradigm shift is something that I call rapid casting. Let's say you have Lightning and Hope in a Com/Rav PS. Do your initial attack to increase the stagger meter on a target. Now, focus on Hope. Even if you are in the middle of your attack, after he casts his last magic, shift to let's say, Rav/Rav. What happens is, Hope's meter (somehow) fills up immediately and he casts another set of magic. Increasing the stagger meter drastically (which also includes your spells! and the target is "commando hit" too!). If you shift again though, it doesn't happen again; so you can only do one rapid casting per shift.

To your 5th Tip: I don't think that when it's staggered it slows the stagger bar with Commando. You have to hit the monster with a Commando BEFORE it staggers.

To your 6th tip: The rapid cast tactic only works on the VERY 1ST Paradigm Shift. So make sure that you switch to the right one the 1st time.

Thanks for clearing that out. That's exactly what I meant though.

Actually, a COM does slow the stagger bar before and during a stagger. If you only stagger with Tri-disaster, for instance, you'll notice that the stagger bar drops very quickly, especially after a preemptive strike. Which is why I usually start a stagger with Smart Bomb [RAV, SAB, RAV] or Relentless Assault, [RAV, COM, RAV]; both COMs and SABs deplete the chain gauge slowly. When the stagger bar hits about 40-50%, I shift to Tri-disaster, and as soon as they stagger I switch back to Smart Bomb or Relentless Assault to maintain the stagger bar.
