it's because people want to base their looks on something or get inspiration. Also for people that watch fashion TV all the time i think they feel that's what they want to do. Hell if I were some ridiculously good looking guy that was a little muscular and all that chick magnet stuff I would love to go show off in a fashion show, but that's what makes me and lots of other people special. We all think there's something missing so we strive to look better. And for those that think they have it all I think they also need a bit of an attitude change and realize that looks aren't everything.
Yeah, it would be nice to look that good. =P
