Turns out I didn't need to be able to read Japanese to get the patch.
Took a little Trial'N'Error to get the patch in the right spot though.
But now I'm cookin' with BROFIST!

I assume you want to extract RAR files.
I personally use "rar frog", although the file has to be in the folder you want when extracting.
If I hit the wrong nail, lemme know.

That seems to be what's needed, but I'm needing a step-by-step walkthrough.
I apologize if I'm inconveniencing anyone, it's just as much of a bother to me as it is to everyone else.
Sorry if i'm being "The Load", but just because I'm on a computer all the time doesn't mean that I'm an ace at 'em.

Actually, all you need to worry about for rar frog is the file being corrupted and not working, as the most work it takes is installing it, and clicking the file you want to extract.
And no problem, I could say I'm the same way, although I sometimes end up tripping face first into the answer.

Just found out by checking the readme, it's version 1.00A.
...If only I could read the page for the Update patch, then I'd be cooking with BROFIST.
