((The freezing desert??? Really?? You must really hate us... crying ))

The wind blew chills down Teishoku's back as it soared through him on its way elsewhere. Teishoku rubbed his fingers and breathed on them heavily. If his hands stopped working, he'd be useless in the battle that was about to begin. He knew not the strengths and weaknesses of his opponents, but he worried not, for that was his brother's job. His was to punch things until they stopped moving. He made it to what had to have been the fighting area. Unfortunately, the gods had deemed it necessary for the fight to take place in the desert, so he couldn't be sure entirely. He thought he saw figures headed in his direction, so it shouldn't be a problem. "Its too dam cold!" He cried to himself. Gotta keep my body warm. He ran a small distance and did a somersault, kicking up waves of irritating sand in the process. "Will this be a problem?" He thought himself. Not really. The worse that could happen is that they lost vision. That won't be much of a problem. He could handle that. When he fought, he was usually intoxicated to the point of terrible vision anyway.

Vision won't be the problem. It'll be this dam cold. He needed to warm his body up, otherwise, his movements will be stiff. He couldn't afford that. Another freezing chill touched his spine causing him to send a curse into the air. "Warm thoughts, think warm thoughts." he murmured softly. "Summer, Beach, Fire...Fire....FIRE!" He tried to smack his forehead, but he was starting to shiver and hit his nose accidentally. He bit into his pointer finger, directly over the fire rune embedded in it.

When blood touched a rune, it felt different for each finger. But the one thing they all have in common is the immediate sense of power they produced. He grinned as his fingers turned a deep dark red from tip to base. His hand emanated heat. He could produce a magical flame if he had too, but he needed mobility, not heat. He had expected to use his earth rune's power, but power was no good if he couldn't hit properly. He took the time to warm the parts of his body, Then motioned for his brother to come along and get the same. He sent flames up from the top of his fingers, in case his brother was feeling a little homophobic and didn't want to touch. "Stay near me, don't get burned, I'm gonna turn the heat up in the fight, just stay warm". He figured this would be fine.

Meitei walked up to his brother. Damn desert was freezing cold. Luckily, Teishoku's hand was on fire..... His hand was on fire! Meitei didn't remember ever seeing that before. Meh, probably one of Kaleidoscope's weird fingers runes. Meitei started stretching. He needed to get prepared for this "deathmatch". Since he knew all of Teishoku's moves and abilities and vice versa, he assumed that they would have the advantage. I mean they basically spent all their lives together. But in battles, Meitei always expected the worse and overestimated his opponents. With this mentality, he normally got out with the victory. He was rested and ready to fight. Lets just hope that little Kaleidoscope is ready too.

Hmm, its a little dark so that might be an advantage to us. If the opponents can't see, then they can't fight. A breeze blew by, and Meitei immediately moved closer to Teishoku's fire. Damn, i hate the cold. Its so cold and windy.......and cold. After thinking for a while, Meitei decided to have a talk with his "brother". The vast emptiness of this desert was eerie and maybe a conversation would distract him from it. He was in no way scared, not at all. But even he had to admit that a fight to the death in the middle of a desert was kind of creepy. He looked around once, taking in the surroundings of the place before the battle. He made mental notes of areas where sand was more dense, which direction the wind was blowing, which places had higher ground than others. After a minute or so, he turned to his brother.

"Yo, you ready to kick some a**?" To other people, Meitei was respectful and kind. But he always addressed his brother in a rude manner. He just didn't really care about proper etiquette around him. "And whats the deal with that fire? When did that happen? I swear your hands get weirder and weirder every time I see you, Kaleidoscope."

Kage was walking in the desert headed to the Death Match. He had a thick jet black cloak over his armor. Also, he had a katana on his side. "Damn the cold." He lived here for most of his life and yet he still wasn't used to the cold. On his back he a fagot of wood and flint and steel. He bent down for a few minutes. Once he stood back up he had a torch. Kage had to use his cloak to keep the wind from blowing it out. Once he saw his opponents he dropped the rest of the wood and made a fire. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a building with more wood in it. "That's one good thing." Kage started to analyze his opponents. "Yep they look strong and hard to beat." He noticed that one of them had fire coming out of his hand. "Well that's unusual." "So it's just us three." Kage sat down next to the fire and took off his cloak. He took some sand and put it over it so it wouldn't fly away. He looked around for his partner. "Where is this man?

Kai's feet made almost no sound as he walked into the arena. He was much stronger now, and he needed to take it out on some poor soul. This was a team death match, and Kai just intended to use his partner as a meat-shield to block incoming enemy attacks. In the midst of the dark winds, one could see a gray cloaked figure, the cloak boasting a deep crimson trim. He moved towards the fire, and found Kage, who he assumed was his partner. "Hmm, are you the 'partner' I am gonna have to fight with? Listen. Stay out of my way, and preferably in the way of the enemies' attacks. All I care about is getting out of this hellhole alive, so don't be surprised if you die in the process." After his cheery teamwork discussion, he sized up his partner and the foes. He was stronger than all of them, so if Kage could at least weaken one, he might be able to get out of this alive, and if he felt generous, He might bring Kage with him. What added to Kai's confidence, was that Akatsuki was now considerably stronger.

Teishoku glanced at his 'brother' and smirked. The pointed a thumb at the new arrival. Guess that's his partner. Doesn't look to friendly. And Judging by muscle tone alone, he might be a bit stronger than me....stay on your toes He flexed his fingers and glanced again at the two. Yeah, This'll be a stretch, but it shouldn't be 'that' bad. He shook he head and bobbed a bit. Then ran his hand down his and his brother's bodies once more to ensure maximum movement in the blistering cold. He snickered at his brother and wondered how the fight was gonna start.

Eh, No time like the present. Meitei, do what you gotta do, then come in close. That first guy doesn't look very strong . He winked at his brother as he said the last word. Teishoku balled his flaming hand tight and caused the flame to steadily rise from the surface of his fingertips into a large flame above him. He stuck it in the ground near Meitei and sent large amounts of heat into the sand. He pulled his hand out and stared at his brother one last time before the fight. Don't be here when the heat of the sand dies. Be near me. .

Teishoku acheived his drunken gait, and charged at kage. He feet flew across the sand sending tufts of it into the air in a haze. He stopped short of the fighter and slid with his right foot forward, the last few feet, purposefully kicking sand into the air around his opponent. His body went low to the ground, and all of his momentum shifted from his left leg, down his right, and from his back, up his arms. He shifted ever so slightly to the right so that both arms could get plenty of space to land a hit. Both of his hands came up like whips. can i finish this with one hit? Up to Meitei, I guess. He thought neutrally as he came in for the attack.

His left fist whipped up, knuckle first, toward the man's right pectoral, right above the lung. He flared the fire high as his right hand came from the other side, also knuckled up, whipping towards the man's lower left abdomen.

Meitei grinned. These two don't seem to have good teamwork. Perfect. He was already preparing an illusion spell since his opponents came. He secretly added pound after pound to Kage with each passing second, masking it with another illusion. The moment Teishoku charged at him,it was already too late. Meitei released the masking illusion, and each of Kage's limbs would have an extra 50 pounds added on to them. Meitei didn't look long enough to see Teishoku's attack. He needed to act fast. He turned his attention to the other person.

"It seems you are blinded by your arrogance and do not see the light of teamwork." Meitei said to the guy. "Blind!" At the moment he yelled blind, his opponent would be blinded by extremely bright light. It was, in fact, the exact brightness of the sun's light rays. Meitei could normally hold this spell for 3 minutes, but since he was doing two spells at once, he had 2 minutes at best. He charged at Kai with amazing speed, aiming for a kick in the chest. He moved swiftly and quietly, purposely kicking up sand in random directions to confuse him. The positioning of Kai was perfect, for the wind was blowing the opposite direction, so he wouldn't be able to detect any slight movements in the current, even if he was skilled. Only the most talented wind users would detect such a thing, and Meitei was confident this guy wasn't even from the Wind Empire.

Moments before reaching his opponent, Meitei raised his left leg and aimed at the chest of the opponent. If the direction of the attack was correct, Meitei would strike just around the lungs, cutting Kai's air supply briefly. This would give Meitei the perfect opportunity.

Kage pulled down some goggles when the sand started to fly. All of a sudden his arms felt heavy and he couldn't move them. He could feel the heat from Teishoku's right hand. He dodged that one but was hit hard by his left hand. It knocked to breath from him. He fell onto his knees and tried to breath. While all that kicking was going on his fire went out and the land became darker. "Great see what you did now the fires out," he was talking to both of them. Kage used his slower body strength to get up. Once up he tried a roundhouse kick the man with his right leg. He looked over at Kai when the white light was sent out from Meitei's hands. Kage was getting mad and delusional from the spells that where on him. "I'm getting tired to quickly. This shouldn't wear me out."

Teishoku's mind relaxed. He was clearly, stronger, faster, and had more experience than his opponent. He wasn't going to waste time toying with him, but he wasn't going to exert himself more than he had to.

If i know my brother, this guy must feel like he ways over 300 pounds. He couldn't possibly hold a lot of force if is feet felt that heavy. He recovered his stance swiftly. He had more than enough time to watch the foot come at him. As he'd suspected, with that imaginary weight added, the kicked seemed to almost have come in slow motion. He could see the strain it was putting on his assailant to complete the move. He didn't want this to drag on too long. This guy is only gonna get worse if meitei adds more illusions. its best to try to knock him out quickly so he doesn't suffer. he thought soberly. He knew what it was like to be under illusions. It was scary and confusing and even when you knew why it was happening, it still didn't take away from the fact 'that' it was happening.

Teishoku raised his left hand up. Dodging the man's attacks even without the man being mentally handicapped would have been simple. But he didn't need to dodge, he needed to finish this quickly so that the blistering cold couldn't start creeping back through his body. He caught the foot with little effort and used the moment to pull the leg higher up, exposing the man's torso and throwing him off balance.Flaming Dragon Tail! He thought with chagrin. It was an old habit he had almost broken, but with moves he used rarely, he still called the names of the attacks in his head, like he did when running the drills in as a child. Teishoku locked his flaming right hand in a 90 degree angle before releasing it, in a movement similar to a bullwhip, straight at the man's chest.
