Which is both annoying and a really lame answer to 'scamming'. All you have to do to see if a winter rose is a winter rose is hover over the item in the trade window.

What Gaia needs to do is improve the trade window so accidents like winter rose are much less likely to happen - not add more distracting 'sparkles' everywhere the premium items can be viewed.

1. Make the gold trade digits a larger font to minimize the change of typos.
2. Add proper categories for stuff being traded (e.g. currently there is no unique category for aquarium items.
3. Show the text name of the items in the trade window along with the pictures.
4. Don't allow locked items to be put in the trade and show the locks down below when you are selecting the item. (Or just don't show them at all.) Currently if you are trading fish for example you can not tell which ones are in your tank and which ones are just in inventory to trade. You just get an error AFTER you try to send the trade.
5. Add two total boxes (one for each side of the trade) that shows the total value of the trade by adding gold and current AMP (or better yet LMP) of the items being traded. Worth is in the eye of the beholder but it would be a huge heads up if you thought you were getting something worth 1 mil and the total window shows 10k.
6. Related to 5 - have some option for items in the trade window of showing the same info you see when you click on an item in your inventory.

Not unique to the trade window - don't make stuff that looks like each other in the icon and don't name stuff so similar. There are items on Gaia where the ONLY difference in the item name is a period at the end. One is worth a LOT more than the other one. How confusing is that?

Anyway, yeah, sparkles are not a free item or a new EI but IMO worse than either.

and it'd be pretty cool if they could add a little box where
you can type stuff.
for example (when this would come in handy);

you're selling dreamer's dust to someone. let's say they
put 9,400g in the trade and miss a '0' you could go over to
the little box and type in "you forgot a '0' at the end of 9,400"
and then click "offer" and the trade will be sent with the note
inside or something instead of having to go back to the sell/buy
thread or whatsoever and tell them 'cause you never know if
they already left the thread or whatnot. also it'll be quicker than
a PM (kinda)

also it'd be better if for the gold amount in trades if there
were commas in the numbers. so instead of 358097, it's be
358,097. it'd be way easier to read and it'll be more likely that
you won't be scammed/tricked.

The comma issue is really why I do not like trading in the exchange but the sparkles no longer bother me now we are able to turn them off if we so wish. XD

I HATED the sparkles, though. They lagged my inventory and the fact that I couldn't hover my mouse over the items to get the name got rather annoying when trying to figure out items in a person's inventory list. D:
