It seems that many of the items in our inventory are sparkling. There is an explanation for this, or at least, part of one.

It's the Collectible items (rigs, EIs, Aquarium, etc.) which are sparkling, and as time goes by, you may see other items sparkle which didn't before. That's because there are still some items left which haven't been made to sparkle. It seems that Titan's Legacy doesn't sparkle yet, but is meant to, and the artist for it will soon fix that.
As for me, I'm equipping as many as I can fit. Maybe you randomly have a chance to get something for it? I dunno, but it's worth a try! ^_^
