My statement still stands anyway. In my opinion, Fender is horrible for metal. Well it could be good for metal, if it has been modified to suit metal, like with Yngwie's strat, it has a scalloped fretboard and DiMarzio pickups. A stock stratocaster isn't designed for metal, so of course it will be crap for it.

Well it could be good for metal, if it has been modified to suit metal, like with Yngwie's strat, it has a scalloped fretboard and DiMarzio pickups. A stock stratocaster isn't designed for metal, so of course it will be crap for it. Exactly, I do agree. But that means you would be changing the sound, so it wouldn't really be a stock Fender Stratocaster anymore.

Fender is the root of all evil. My first guitar that I got was a cherry red fender and it was already broken.My amp cord kept falling out and the strings were the shittiest.Note to all people: Never buy a fender.

My first guitar that I got was a cherry red fender and it was already broken.My amp cord kept falling out and the strings were the shittiest.Note to all people: Never buy a fender. You sure it wasn't a squier, and also Fender QC can be bad sometimes, so it was your fault for either not looking carefully enough, or you ordered off the net, which is a bad thing to do with actual guitars.

How was it 'already broken'? I understand the cord, and strings, but you should always buy yourself a good, new lead because leads that come with any guitar packages are usually bad. Also, factory strings that come on guitars are usually bad, so you should get it restrung too. It's just part of getting a new guitar and maintainence of it.
