Jane, startled by the fact that his dagger was flying through the air, just grabbed it out of the air, not paying attention to the fact that he'd caught it by the blade. He looked at Roran and smiled. "I suppose you win." Honestly, he was extremely calm about the fact that his left palm was bleeding badly due to the way he'd grasped the dagger. In fact, he was still holding the blade.

After a while had passed, Nico opened her eyes, at last finding some sort of calm and direction for herself. I know they aren't going to like this one bit and neither do I, but wouldn't it be better this way? Logically, she would already know the lay out, she would know who was there, what to look for, where to look for it. If anything, she could be the main distraction while another team went in. Hmmm, she'd still have to discuss the fine tuning with her team and of course, their bosses.

Blinking as she suddenly felt the bed beneath her, she hadn't realized she had been floating ever so slightly off of it until then. Huh. She'd never done that before. Something strange was going on with her powers. Hopefully it wouldn't get too out of hand.... Shaking her head, she stretched her shoulders and then grabbed some fresh clothes to wear before taking a shower.

About twenty minutes later, she came out with a comb running through her long hair. She was wearing some comfortable shorts that she supposed were somewhat short. They certainly weren't booty shorts. God she refused to wear those. Then she had a band tank top on, of Apocalyptica this time. It was rather form fitting, and somewhat on the long side. Pulling on a pair of boots, she drew her hair back into a ponytail, her bangs still hanging stubbornly in her face. Some things would never change.

Grabbing her rapier, she made sure to slide her hidden dagger into her boot, her switchblade slipping into another pocket. Pulling on her holsters, she double checked everything, making sure to grab the two datapads. They seemed to shrink before she slipped them into a pocket, heading upstairs to the fitness floor. The gym was there, an ear perking up as she heard the clanging of swords. Slowing as she came to the doors, she peeked inside and saw that Roran and Jane were sparring.

Initially she was worried about Jane sparring when she wasn't sure if he was fully healed, but he seemed to be doing fine. That was good though. She liked having her team in top condition. Smiling softly to herself, she felt some other emotions start to return, continuing onward to the shooting range that was down the hall. Even though their match seemed over, she didn't want to assume anything and decided to let them be. Checking in with the man there, they exchanged some pleasantries before she headed down into the large hologram room where it was a more involved training session.

Pulling her pistols out, she pressed her back against the wall and exhaled slowly, allowing her senses to extend as the setting flickered to life. Ah, she recognized this one. Her fingers extended then regained their former position before she turned a corner and fired two shots before the two fake guards could react. With that, she tore down the hall, jumping over and dodging two knife throws as more guards popped up. She was in one of the bases that she had been in once, her main objective to take it down. Per usual. Obviously there were other scenarios and missions involved, but that was the main picture.

She would look like a dancer on the screen that the man she had spoken with was watching, easily moving and firing as needed. Ducking down as a lazer rolled past her head, she fired off three shots, getting three of the guards. With that she recounted the amount of bullets in her head, grimacing a bit as she straightened up and leaned against the wall. Taking a deep breath, she heard footsteps, now counting down in her head. 3.....2.....1..... Now. She suddenly dropped down and kicked out the guards ankles, firing a shot into his head as she spun around and fired off one more shot into the next mans head. With that, she tore down the hall, picking up a few clips from the corpses as she reloaded her guns.

Roran stopped himself at the last moment. He was speechless. What had happened? That dagger was easily blockable. Lowering his own weapon, he shook his head. "Oi, what's gotten into you?" Sheathing the sword and grabbing his firearms and replacing them on his body, he let out a sigh. "It was starting to get fun too."

Opening the first aid in the room, he threw the bandage roll at Jane. "Oi, let go of the damned dagger. It's doing you no good to continue gripping it." Rummaging through, he found some gauze as well. Returning to Jane, he placed the gauze on the boy's hand. "Put pressure on that, then wrap your hand up." Putting the first aid away, he looked at Jane one last time. "And don't go grabbing daggers so recklessly next time." With that, he left the room.

Jane's eyes glanced at Roran, setting his dagger back into his sheath. He wrapped up his hand carefully before following after Roran. "I apologize, but...it was my father's dagger, so I tend to react like that when it is hurtling towards me." His voice was soft as he walked away from Roran, stepping into the shooting range.

He picked up a revolver quietly, just an extra one. Looking at the shooting range, he aimed carefully. Shooting the gun, he followed the bullet, watching as it his nearly an inch away from the bulls eye. Perhaps that was why he didn't care to use guns most of the time.

Roran, walking back to his room, was quite calm. Nothing too wrong happened today. As a matter of fact, everyone seemed good. Continuing to walk, it was then that some aid bumped into him, handing him a disc, saying some important footage was on there, and he alone needed to see it. Sighing, Roran took the disc and returned to his room.

Putting the disc into his laptop, the video he then saw was impossible. It was just impossible. "No," he said, standing abruptly, his laptop falling onto his bed. "No," he repeated, backing up into a wall. "NO!" He finally cried, gripping his hair. "NO!" He cried again, his veins popping all over his hands and face.

Panting heavily, he calmed himself down enough to grab his laptop. Putting it onto his desk, he stared at the screen. The video was the most impossible thing he could imagine. Suddenly feeling angry, he immediatly realized he was infuriated. "NO!" He cried one last time, chucking his laptop at the wall, it shattering along with the disc inside, lost forever. His hands tightened, his teeth gritted, he punched the wall. No...

After sometime, he calmed down, sitting on his bed's edge. This is a secret. One only I must know. Only I must ever know. Only I must deal with this. When it is safe. When it is safe. He was overcome by exhaustion suddenly, only realizing it as his head hit his pillow, him falling asleep again.

By now Nico had completed almost all of the objectives, reloading her pistols again in the separate room in the shooting ranges area. She could hear Ron's voice as he echoed out how long she was taking from the booth up above. She didn't know, but he had a smirk on his lips as he folded his arm over his chest, watching the holographic screen that allowed him to observe her and the rest of the area. She had improved in her speed and accuracy from the last time she had run this simulation.

Twitching as she felt a rush of negative energy, she missed a guards head by a millimeter, gritting her teeth as she righted her mistake, costing her a graze to her arm because of it. What was going on? She never could sense such things before. Not really. Is it because of my powers? Sliding into a room, she locked the door, whizzing through as she grabbed the components she needed.

Glancing up as she could hear banging, she glanced around, taking cover in the shadows behind a cabinet. She could see the door, but they wouldn't immediately see her. Not till they walked into the room and turned around. Which they did. With that, she killed them, waiting to listen for more foot prints before she took off down the hall. She saw the lazers come up, moving in a pattern so it wouldn't be too easy to cross. Holstering her guns, she leaped and danced her way through. Initially, she probably didn't seem that flexible. This was quickly proved to be false as she bent at odd angles and never seemed to lose her balance. Again she was dancing, landing on her feet on the other side as one hand drew out her pistol. With that, she shot down another guard who tried to sneak up while she was distracted.

Leaning around corners, she was close to the core, just down the hall and to the left. She saw more guards coming up, unloading the rest of her clips into the bunch that came by. She ran and ducked around their gunfire, bobbing and weaving until she drew close. Then she began to kick and hit in a blur of motion, taking down those she didn't shoot. She did use a couple of them as meat shields while their comrades fired at her, taking the time to reload with her last clips, now firing off bullets of her own.

Now that the way was clear, she was panting heavily, sweat causing her hair to cling to her skin, a few beads rolling down her brow. Leaning close to the door, she hacked into the panel and opened them, still hugging close to the wall as a burst of fire roared past her. When it finished, she gritted her teeth, firing a shot into the canister of fluid that the man had on his back, ducking back around the corner as she waited for the pressure to grow too great. Once she heard the explosion, her eyes seemed to darken as she slipped into the room, running for the panel where she had to plant her own bomb.

A few minutes later, a buzzer rang out, signaling the end of the simulation, Nico now bending over as she panted, wiping some of the sweat from her brow. Putting her guns away, she could hear Ron's voice ring out, telling her the score, time, shots fired and whatnot. Huh. Her score had gone up. That was a good thing. The hologram faded back to the dull looking room, turning to head up the stairs, picking up a towel from a cupboard near the top of the stairs in the booth that Ron was in. "Thanks for observing Ron. I'll be fine from here." She gave him a smile, feeling a bit better now that endorphins were flooding her system from the workout.

She watched as he left, the smile leaving as she remembered that flash of negative emotions that struck her so earlier. What had been the cause? Who was it from? She couldn't sense it now which only made her more dubious about it. Had she just imagined it? Was it her powers? Sighing as these questions didn't leave her be, she picked up a water bottle from a fridge that was in the booth and sipped at it, taking a closer look at her results. Once she was done, she stepped out the door into the shooting range, walking down the row and glancing to the men and women that were there practicing. Some greeted her which made her pause and talk with them, taking large gulps of her water.

Jane took another shot, frustrated when it was in the inner ring but not on the bulls eye. Cursing loudly, he cocked the gun again, taking aim. This time he made sure the aim was right. Crack. Gunshot. Bullet hits...outer circle! He yelled several curses, attempting another shot. He really wasn't cut out for guns.

Nico laughed at something one of the guys had said, though the smile sort of became concerned as she heard cursing over the gunfire. Leaning one way, she saw that it was Jane, blinking twice. Shaking her head, she sighed, excusing herself as she stretched out some of her muscles on the way. Coming up next to him, she adjusted how he was holding it, then the angle he was aiming at. "Don't forget about the recoil. That'll throw your shot off a little bit. Also, be calm. If you let your frustration take hold, you probably won't be as likely to make the shot." She said softly into his ear, looking at the target as she almost mirrored his stance.

Though then she paused, moving his body so it was in a better stance, checking again. "Try now." She murmured, stepping back once she was satisfied. Finishing off her water, she dabbed at her brow again with the towel that was resting around her neck. With that, she moved away towards the counter where he had picked up the gun, finding Ron behind it again. "Hey there again. Can I get a couple of clips for these?" He nodded and handed them over, Nico sliding them into a pocket. Checking the time, she headed out and towards her room so she could take another shower, debating between doing some work or not.

She got slowed in the hallway to the elevator by one of the tech staff, blinking at the data pad she was handed. Apparently they needed some help, snippets of data were getting found in their system that wasn't immediately recognized by anyone, or the bots that lurked their systems as an added defense. Well, guess work it is. I'll do it from my room though. She confirmed that last statement to herself since she didn't want to face Rob right now.

Jane nodded simply as he did as Nico had moved him. Concentrating, his shot just grazed the bulls eye. Well, that was a lot closer. He turned around to thank her, but she was already out of the room. Figures, she is always hurrying from place to place. Turning in his gun simply, he looked at the guy behind the counter for a moment before leaving. As he left, he felt his hand graze across his dagger, checking to ensure it was there. He moved rapidly down the halls to the elevator, hoping no one would catch the bandaging on his hand.

Thankfully, they didn't, and he stood in the elevator, waiting for it to reach the floor where the kitchen was. Wait- what floor was that, anyway? He hadn't needed to know before now. Asking a random person that got in, they hit the button to their floor and then to that which the kitchen was on. They gave him instructions to get to it on their way to their floor, before getting off, allowing the elevator to take Jane down to the kitchen.

((I'm sorry to say this, but some serious s**t is happening in my life right now, and I don't know how well I can stay constant on this site anymore. Sorry guys. I'll try to come at last once a week though.))

Nothing. Darkness. His world. It was back. He returned to the place he called home. The darkness. The black. His world. He was comfortable. No emotion, his world was a void. He had never felt emotion here, it was always empty. It had always been empty.

But then it all changed. A flicker. A flicker of light. No, not light. Fire. A flicker of fire. Then it grew. The small flame that burst into his world grew. Before he knew it, there was a raging fire. The world was alight. He was filled with anger. Complete anger as the flames grew larger still. Wanting to cry out, his voice did nothing. He did hear crying though. Cries for help. The flames slightly dissipated, a small town now being engulfed by the flames. Bodies everywhere. Roran's anger grew. How could this happen? He had seen this before.

His anger instantly dissapeared. There was a figure in the flames. Trying to make out who it was, there was a pit in his stomach. He had seen this before. Then it was all abundantly clear. The figure was him. He was standing in the fire. It was him.

The anger was gone, but dispair took it's place. Why was he seeing this. It had never happened. Or had it? The DVD. It showed this. The darkness, the fire, the burning, the screaming, the bodies, him. Him. Him. Him. Him. Him. Something. Fire. Him.

(( o.o That's quite alright dude. I really hope that things work out. ))

Nico ended up getting slowed up twice in the hall because people needed to ask her advice on something, though she really wondered why they'd ask her. There were definitely more qualified people than herself. She was just a kid in their eyes. Oh well, whatever. She almost didn't notice the blackness that had grown in her mind until she was already at her door. Blinking, she paused before it, glancing to her teammates doors that lined the halls, frowning a little. What was it? This was twice now. She found herself walking towards it, almost seeming to see a cloud of shadow flowing from one door, wisps leaking from the bottom of it.

Her brows furrowed as she looked up to think of whose it was when she was startled by the data pad in her hand beeping with an urgent message from Rob. Blinking, she looked back to the door and found the shadows were gone once more, which made her grimace. Twice again it had vanished. Sighing, she went into her room without further ado, glancing over the message with a heavy sigh. "Alright already Rob jesus christ.... Gladys, can you start up some.... Hm..... Apocalyptica please? Song: Hope Vol. 2. From there just let it play on shuffle." She spoke as she took note of what he wanted her to do exactly.

"Of course Sister Grimm. I've already taken the liberty of bringing up the files that Rob wants you to look over along with a few other things. Do get something to eat soon as well, it has been-"

Nico chuckled, "Don't worry Gladys I will. I know it's been a while since I've had something. I'll be fine for a little while yet. Thank you for bringing up the files already." She responded as she pulled up her chair, the computer in her room flickering to life as it adjusted it's screen to be bigger. The keyboard flipped out from her desk, extending further for her while also extending a chord to the datapads that she had lying about. Pausing, she got up and took another quick shower, coming out in a very similar outfit to the one she had done her training in. Black tank top, shorts, and hair tied back in a ponytail. Soon her music started up once she sat down to do her due diligence, singing along softly to it.

Jane dug around the kitchen, already comfortable with it once he reached it. His eyes looked around, scoping out the stove, the burners, the fridge. What a relaxing place... A deep breath slipped easily out of his lips as he moved about. Fingers wrapped around the handle to the fridge. Ouch. Right. Bad, cut hand. Other hand. He switched the hand that reached for the fridge handle, opening the fridge; he held it open with his hip, pulling out eggs. What time was it, anyway? Certainly he should know that. Ah, well. Omelets were good all day long.

Search the drawers. Cheese. Onion. Green pepper? Yeah, that would work. Orange eyes scoped out a childhood favorite. Pickled Jalapenos. That would cheer him up a bit. He grabbed the things he'd found, starting on making the omelet. Carefully, he turned on the burner, working on the egg mixture.

"GAHHHHHHHH!" He woke up screaming. It was a dream. The first dream of his whole life. The first dream that was not nothing. He dreamed. No. He nightmared. That was not a dream. That was a nightmare.

He realized he was shaking. He couldn't stop. He saw murder. No, he saw slaughter. Slaughter, by his hands. Good lord no! No no no! This can't happen. Damnit. What was it?

(( This is starting to die pretty severely..... :/ ))

Glancing up to the time after Nico had finished a portion of what she had been asked to do, she grimaced a bit and sighed heavily, running a hand through her bangs. Though the moment of peace didn't last long as she felt as if someone had shocked her, a jolt running up her spine as she felt an intense weight of darkness nearby. Again from Roran's room. What in the world was....

Gritting her teeth, she pushed herself up from her chair, Gladys saving her work for her as she left her room and knocked on Roran's door. "Roran? It's Nico. Is...." She paused and bit her lip, raising her eyes to his door since she was sort of nervous about this. "Oh hell, can I come in? It's ok if you'd rather be alone, but I'm.... worried." She spoke loud enough for him to hear through the door, glancing about the hall to see if there were many people about and there weren't thankfully. She was starting to get a headache, touching a hand to one temple as she felt the darkness somehow grow more.... intense.
