Lets just say, I am in one of these situations, where I dont think I have much of a shot, and I've been trying to move on for a year, but with no prevail........Anyway, how do you guys get over someone you love, and in a way begin seeing them as your best friend again? I really love him, but I am a. too scared to ask him out, and b. I love him too much as a friend and wouldnt want to lose him if it went badly, so aka HELP ME Band Nerd Guild!

This happened to me with my friend Josh. He was my best friend, I loved him, failed, now he's my best friend again.
Ok, so a:The Friend Route:
If he knows you love him, don't bring the situation up. If he does, just say, "Well, that was kind of a while ago. Friends?" and if he's a great guy, he'll say, "Yeah, friends." then if shys away, you be the brave one. Go up to him, say hi, sit with him in lunch, but don't be flirty. Be nice and joke around pushing eachother like best friends do. In about 1-3 weeks, you'll be buddy-buddy again.
b:The BF/GF Route:
Be brave! Find your inner girl-power and ask him out to the movies friend-to-friend. When your there be EXTRA funny and nice. Next day at school, talk to him, make him feel comfortable around you, but don't be so nice where you get in the awkward position again. Do the ever-lasting sarcastic insult then smile, so he knows its for fun, then if he laughs, push him, lightly, for fun so he knows your joking around, and fun to be with. Then, ask him out on a real date, and if he likes you that much, you'll be dating.

hahaha well we've decided they aren't really a "couple". they are best friends who decided that they were gonna label their friendship as a relationship. oh well.
