Ok so for those that don't know the simple explanation is this bill is going to allow the federal government to charge people for carbon emissions (a.k.a. breathing). The bill is over 1000 pages long with all the additions made to it recently, but the members of the House of Representatives were not allowed to read it until thirty minutes before voting. The last time a bill was not allowed to be read and passed in a similar fashion was the Patriot Act. Anyone else drawing the comparison? And anyone brave enough to attempt deciphering this garbage you can read the latest changes in the bill here: http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h2454/text
Discuss -What have you heard about this bill? -How do you feel about what you may have just learned? -Do you think it will pass in the Senate? Why/why not?
Please keep it civil.

Is this that "cap and trade bill" that everyone on talk radio has been huffy about?
It ultimately doesn't matter what I think about it because if "they" want it to pass then it will.
