 Iculo trotted through the forest. It hadn't been a long journey, and she could hear the river. "Can you hear the river, Pluvia? We're almost there!" she said, excitement creeping into her voice. She was excited and happy, but at the same time extremely nervious. They had no idea how any Di'Taki would react to seeing an Adahy, and no way of knowing if they would survive the experience. All they could do was hope, and even though Iculo knew how to fight, she really, really hoped it wouldn't come to that.

 It was taking Plu's entire willpower not to bounce around crazily."Yes,I can hear it!Ohhh,I am so excited!"she allowed herself a little jump straight up to waste some of her extra energy.Some questions popped into her mind,so Plu turned to her wise and straightforward companion."How will we meet one?Wouldn't we have to go across the river to get to the Di'Taki?"Plu thought for a second or two."No,getting across isn't a smart idea.They might think we came here to start a war or something...What should we do?"

Iculo couldn't help but smile at Plu's antics. "Well, we have two choices: we can sit on our side of the river and wait; or we can walk up and down the riverbank." They had a fair chance of seeing a Di'Taki that way; the only problem was that there was a high probability that they would run into a patrol; even an Adahy patrol it might mean trouble.

Plu thought about the 2 options and then looked at her quivering legs that wanted to jump and spin."I think I can't manage to sit still..."she admitted with a sheepish smile on her face."If I don't move I think I'll explode from excitement."

Iculo chuckled, seeing how full of excitement Plu was. "It's not as if the Di'Taki will suddenly run away if we leave for a short run, if you want to. We'll probably have to stay here for at least a day, so you might as well." She sat down a few feet from the river. "I'll stay here and come get you if I see anything. Just try to stay close by." She turned to watch the other side of the river.

"Thank you so much,Iculo!You're the best!"Plu raced off into the forest.So many things happened in the last few days she just needed some alone running time to settle things in her mind.To think that,just a week ago,she never seen another intelligent creature!Her happiness threatened to overwhelm her.How lucky she was to meet Iculo!

Iculo smiled as she heard Plu run into the forest. She undestood how Plu felt, but she just never really got jittery like that. She became alert. Focusing on the opposite bank, she noticed how much darker the forest the Di'Taki lived in was compared to the Adahy's forest. She thought she saw something move a few times, but it turned out to be a waenara.

Plu stopped running in one certain direction after a little while,afraid to get lost or drift apart form Iculo.To get rid of the rest of her happy energy she decided to run in circles.She decided the size of the circle would be the perimeter of the meadow she was standing in,and started running.After about 10 laps Plu was completely rid of her excitement,and returned to her normal state.Having marked the direction from which she came from beforehand,it was easy for the blue Adahy to get back to the place where the other Adahy was situated."I'm back,"the black eyed female announced as she plopped down beside her companion.

Isipho crashed through the forest. He was headed for the river to get a drink and to wash the mess of his last meal from his face. It would be easier and there was a lesser chance of seeing an Adahy to get water from the lake, but he perefered the stream. He had never seen an Adahy at the stream before, and he didn't really want to.Iculo smiled when she heard her energetic friend announce her return. Still facing the lake, she asked, "Did you have a nice run? Nothing's happened since you left." She had just stopped talking when she heard a crashing noise from the opposite bank. "That has to be a Di'Taki!" she wispered to her friend.

Plu was about to reply to her companions first comment with a sad sigh,but crushed the intention immediately after the noise.Plu froze in place.Her heart accelerated and she had to fight to keep her breathing slow and steady.Is it really a Di'Taki?I can't wait!Then another thought struck her.I sure hope she or he is friendly!I really want to talk to him or her.

Isipho emerged through the trees and immediately noticed the two Adahy sitting on the opposite bank. He blinked and his ears flicked back. What could they possibly want? They were obviously waiting for something; he hoped it wasn't a fight. If it was, it would just cause more distrust in the already shaky peace. Not to metion that the stench of Adahy would cling to him for days. Eyes never leaving them, he bent his head to take a long drink of water.
Iculo watched the Di'Taki, who was whatching them as if he expected them to attack. Not that she could blame him, of course. She saw ten eyes blink, and the four ears flicked back. The Di'Taki started to drink from the river, his eyes never leaving them. So this is a Di'Taki... "Hello!" She called, not sure what to do to make it obvious they only wanted to talk. She also wondered about what Plu would do.

When Plu saw the Di'Taki's reaction she slowly breathed a sign of relief.Chances were,if the male(and he was certainly male) didn't attack or show anger in the first few seconds he probably wasn't going to do without provocation - at least,for now.While Iculo decided on the verbal approach,Plu chose to do it the wild way,and mimicked the Di'Taki's actions but keeping her eyes on the water.This was a gesture of trust that the other creature wouldn't attack.

Isipho almost found it amusing how the two Adahy had completely different reactions. Both of them were clearly excited, but the brown one looked a bit unsure of how to react. The blue-green one merely mimicked him, which would probably be what he would do. He lifted his head, considering what he should do. "What are you doing this close to Di'Taki lands?" he asked, careful to not let it sound hostile.
Iculo glanced at Plu, who was mimicking the Di'Taki. I hope he doesn't take that as an offense or think we're crazy! she thounght. Of course, they were crazy for coming here in the first place. When the Di'Taki spoke, she knew he woudn't attack. Of course, if he did try to attack, he he would have to get past the river first, and he would have to be a good swimmer to do that. "We only want to talk to a Di'Taki."
