Sayuri hated to see him like this. "Yes, there very safe." She explained. "I covered the mouth of the den with leaves before I left. If you didn't know where it was, you would never think it's a den." His face was tear and sand stained, and as he crouched down sighing, Sayuri asked, "Are you alright?"

Shiro nodded listening to her every word. He wiped his tears and gave a defiant glare,"Yes, I'm fine. Let me see them." He stood,"ugh, need to get this sand off my face before hand...god it's scratching out my eyeballs." He trod through the oasis, cleaning his face with his paws, after cleaning himself her got out and shook himself off, the san d once against stuck to the bottom of his paws but he was hoping that it'd come off by the time he got to the forest. "Show me."

With a quick nod, Sayuri lead him in silence through the sunlit forest and they traveled back to to gnarled root den. Sayuri swept away the untouched leaves from the enterence of the cozy burrow. They climbed inside, wrapped with a blanket of heat. The morning was chilly, but the two, perfect, little baskets were masked in warmth. They haden't moved an inch, but where still making soft cooting and guggling noises. Sayuri moved to lay beside them, and rested her pale chin on the top of one. "They're both boys," she said quitley, as if not to wake the baskets.

Shiro looked proud when she mentioned they were both boys, he regarded the baskets for a second or two, then snuggled them. Their sounds soothed him, and he sighed...,"so they are mine?" He looked at the one with the ocelot markings, then looked back up to Sayuri. "I love them."
Soon he snuggled her Sayuri too,"how did the whole ordeal go down for you then?" Both of her personalities had softened due to the cuteness of the baskets.

Sayuri swelled with happiness. Shiro was happy, he loved the baskets. She snuggled him back. She had always feared that his moods would get out of control... But she wouldn't think about now. This was a happy moment, one she knew she would remember for the rest of her life. "It was a rough night, but it was well worth it in the end," She said as she glanced down adoringly at the baskets. "What should we name them? I was thinking that the name Kuro suited this one," she said gesturing to the pale pastel woven basket. She still couldn't beleive it. She was a mother.

Shiro was keen to so the actual pups, but he knew the baskets would be sealed by now and he'd have to wait,"Kuro...sounds like it fits", he sighed and pressed an ear up against one of the basket,"hmmm...", he exhaled again.
"What would you want to call the other one...? You did the hard work and I have no ideas",he pawed at the ground with one paw thinking,"Boys..." Shiro had calmed down again knowing it was another waiting game all he could do was guess now.
He really wanted to see his boys...the ground beneath his paw now was a small indent.

"It's okay" Sayuri said, seeing his frustration. "They won't be in there for long... I'm guessing a few more days." She pondered a name for the other small basket. "Maybe we should name him a combination of our names. Sayuro? Hahaha, That sounds funny," she giggled. She looked up to Shiro, and then down to the baskets. Her children... Happiness surged inside of her as she let out a grin from ear to ear.
