Aiko blushed and giggled a little bit at Meitei's flirting. Hottie likes me! Score! Her giggles subsided and calmed herself enough to actually talk. "You're Meitei, right? My name is Aiko, and your friend Teishoku here promised to teach me some things... About how things work around here, that is." She giggled more at the thought of implying that anything was happening between the two.
Aiko cleared her throat. "And you don't have to trouble yourself about hunting for me. I already have a friend I trust on that for me." At the mention of hunting, a large hawk cried in the distance. Two short cries, then one long shriek.
Aiko sighed, then dislodged herself from Meitei's grasp. "Well, it seems that dinner is calling for me. Meitei, why don't you stay and wait for me here. It won't take me long to eat two foxes and a male rabbit. The last she directed at Teishoku. She turned her back on the two and called out "Please, both of you just stay there" before running off in the direction of her shadow's call.

Teishoku gaped. Did you just.. he thought, nor really believing someone was already hitting on his student. I didn't even want the dam girl... He thought, suddenly annoyed about the entire situation. Meitei, eyes on me. I'm still the older one. That much hasn't changed. He said, sternly. You've got a lot to speak up for, but you probably wouldn't have risked walking into this forest just to 'catch up'. What do you want. Its very dangerous for you to be here. Loud crashes in the distance only served to reinforce his words. It sounded like the Ents were moving.

Meitei's expression quickly changed from flirtatious to serious. He could hear that people were coming, most likely Ents. They were, after all, the Sages of Nature, and walking into their forest would most likely set an alarm off. Being a shadowbeing, it was dangerous for him to stay in their domain for longer than necessary. He looked back at Teishoku, grabbing both of his swords just in case of an attack, and began to speak.
"Look, I did come here to catch up with you among other things. But right now, it seems that i don't have the time to do that. If you don't know by now, a war is coming soon. The Light Empire has just chosen a new lord to succeed the previous one, and if my sources are correct, the Light Empire has formed an alliance with the Earth Empire. Also, the Fire Lord has stepped down to become the Queen of the Dark Empire, leaving the Fire Empire vulnerable." Meitei talked quickly, wanting to fill Teishoku in on everything without leaving anything important out. The Ents were coming closer, the Dark Magic in Meitei causing them to travel quicker to him. A user of Dark Magic was not allowed in this forest, especially if he was a shadowbeing. "Basically, I am telling you to watch out. It's virtually every man for himself, and I want you to be prepared, just in case. Right now, I'm heading to the Light Empire to gather more information and also to build up forces. I'll try to contact you as soon as I get there." Meitei took a big sigh, gathering his belongings. He had wanted to spend more time with his brother, especially since he was the only family he had left, but Meitei was pretty sure that he couldn't take all of those Ents at one time, at least, not by himself.
"Teishoku. I know that you haven't left your beggar roots behind. You may not care about these things, with the war and all that. But, you can't avoid the inevitable. If you are not ready, this forest will be a target for other Empires, and unfortunately, might be attacked. Just watch your back, ok?"

Aiko ran through the forest, eager to eat her meal and return back to Teishoku and Meitei. I might learn something better from him. She giggled as her thoughts took a turn for the worst. Her shadow swooped low above her head, letting her know that her prey was close. She nodded and ran a little more carefully, careful not to hit too many loose tree limbs.
Aiko crashed through the trees into a small clearing, where the rabbit and foxes were left, broken but breathing. Her shadow crept up behind her in the shape of a large cat. She patted its head and nodded her thanks. The shadow cat nodded in acknowldgement. After a quick, silent prayer of thanks to Fede, she dug in, draining all three animals dry. While she ate, her shadow dug three small wholes, where she buried each of them.
Aiko ran back to her teacher and Meitei, her shadow by her side, questions running through her mind. There was a faint groaning and crashing throughout the forest, as if something large and old was making its way around. Ents! Really need to be at teacher's side, now. With that in mind, she put on a little burst of vampire speed in her step and flew faster through the forest then ever before. Aiko stopped directly behind Teishoku, almost knocking him over, and smiled rediculously as she saw her shadow phase right through them. "So. What exactly did I miss? Why the grim faces, guys?"

Teishoku's face was grim. His student had come back, but not in time to hear the message, which was good because it wasn't exactly her business anyway. He looked at his brother, with a sad expression on his face. As it is now, I've got no goals. My primary focus will be to teach this girl how to survive, especially in a forest full of creatures willing to kill. Meitei, you should not be here, the aura around you is black and feels evil. The magic within my hand does not like it. He undid his beggar's sash, the symbol of his status as a high ranking member of the League of Beggars.
You say that I haven't left my beggar roots. This is true. I could care less about the politics of the world around me. Beggars don't live by the world's rules. We do what we please. Teishoku tossed his sash at his foster brother. Don't forget what it means to be a beggar. Don't forget the honor we gained from the trials we went through.....together. Teishoku finished as the first of the Ent's heads became visible over the treetops. Leave now, brother. Its probably best if you don't come back

Meitei grinned as Teishoku threw him his sash. Although he wasn't in the most amusing of situations, he couldn't help but grin. His brother hadn't forgotten their past. He tossed back the sash, lifting his shirt a little to reveal his own. It has never left his side, Meitei valuing it as one of the only true possessions he had. "Never forget." As he saw the Ents coming near, Meitei knew he had to leave, or be forced to face them. His magic was tainted in the eyes of the Nature Sages, his soul unpure. While this may have been true, he was still not evil. Not yet. OK Teishoku. May the winds of destiny lead us allow us to cross paths again in the future.
"Well, so long. Nice catching up with you, Kaleidescope. Oh, and Aiko, if you ever need a teacher who's more......attractive, i'll be happy to oblige." With a wink, he started running, his body slolwy transforming. In a matter of seconds, he was no longer in the shape of a human, taking on the appearance of a hawk. His wings stayed completely still as he soared in the sky, his figure being the alone in the sky. Like it or not, Teishoku, destiny is not through with us. He grinned, flapping his wings once more to maintain height. Now, off to Grell's place.......where is it again?

[[ Yup yup... totally epic, Nerd 3nodding And don't feel bad. I almost cried too ]]
Aiko stared up at the bird - form of Meitei. "Ahh... So he's a shadow being." She hadn't heard much of them, but knew they were not of nature. Too, too bad. She glanced up at her teacher, then down at her feet. The sound of ents coming came closer and closer to her. "So who's in trouble? Is it a kingdom, or a specific person?" Her brother and his lover popped in her mind, and she instantly turned on her teacher. "Please, for the love of Fede, do 'not' say that the dark kingdom or fire kingdom are involved in... whatever is going on." Her mind filled with worry for the two lovers. She turned around to face the sound of the moving ents. "And what has them all riled up? Is something wrong here, too?"

Teishoku was still staring at his brother, who had somehow actually 'transformed' before his eyes. He didn't answer he automatically. He waited and weighed his options. Three ents walked out from the forest with their heads to the sky and disgust on their tree like faces. Who was that and what was he doing there The largest of the Ent asked.
That was my brother, and you're about to piss me off. Leave. now. He said, turning on the Ents. His status as the Naturia Sage was well known within the forest and the Ents were more or less his to command. They paused at the small man bossing them around. Then looked at each other and walked back into the forest.
After they'd walked back in and their footsteps were no longer heard. Teishoku turned to his Apprentice. No, it didn't have anything to do with the dark or fire lords. I don't know why you would want to know that, however, 'Vampire'. He said the word vampire with some contempt, for he still didn't really know who she was, what she wanted, or what she could to. He was stopping by to say hello. As you probably heard, that was my brother. We had a fight and now my tree friends don't really like him. Sorry, but thats the best I can tell you right now.
Teishoku sat on the ground and stared at her. He was wrapping his beggar sash back around his waist and he was slightly irritated about the whole procession of things that had happened since she'd shown up. Now this is what's going to happen. I'm going to sit here, and you're going to tell me your whole story. Why you showed up in my forest, who you 'really' are, and what you 'really' want from me. Next, you're going to explain your strange shadow and tell me exactly how it works. After that, we will spar so that I may see what you're capable of and if i deem you worthy, you will accompany me on my travels.
He paused and thought for a second. You can either do that, or take a hike. I'm allowing you the option of leaving. Right now. This is your last chance. If you go, there will be no hard feelings, but you won't be allowed in my forest. My Ents 'will' kill you. If you stay, you are mine. Any other course of action will result in me or someone I know, killing you. What do you choose? He stopped talking because he was tired of hearing his own voice. He gave her time to make up her mind and decide what she was going to do.

Aiko stared at Teishoku, shifting from foot to foot. She really didn't believe his story about there not being trouble within the fire kingdom and the dark kingdom, but there was no point arguing it with him. He would've either lied or ignored her questions. Hmm... Seems like a thought I've had before. She shook her head and sighed, willing her shadow to form into a hawk and perch on her shoulder.
"My name is Aiko Alucard, sister to Jinsoku Alucard, ruler of the Dark Kingdom" Aiko started nervously, shifting from foot to foot. "You can now understand my conern for the two kingdoms. I didn't know that this was your forest, honest. I only wanted to find a place to relax and practice with my shadow. Oh, and my shadow is controlled by my will." As if to enphasize her statement, her shadow sifted and transform into a snake and draped itself along her shoulders. "I was taught by the Yoi clan how to do it. I'm sure they'd teach you, if you go and ask them. They are a very open clan" she said, quite hopeful.
Aiko stared at him, then stared back down at her feet. "Anyway, I'm sorry for intruding on your space. I'll leave immediately since I'll probrably be of no use to you." With tha, Aiko turned away from him and started walking.

Teishoku's gaped. The dark lord's sister... He thought, slightly in awe. He watched her walk away and stood up. Eh, Maybe she's decided to leave. Ok by me. I wonder where Durzo is. I sent him to the wind nation ages ago... He thought, already losing focus on the task at hand. He decided that he was going to go see what was the hold up. He sat back down on the ground and began to meditate. He was directing his physical energy from his mind down to his feet. It slowed his brain activity down, but he'd learned how to moderate it, from the times when he'd practiced.
The energy of his torso and arms went next, directing itself with ease down his body and into his feet. They began to glow. He stood up, his feet vibrating actively and glowing slightly. He forcefully controlled the speed of his body, slowing it down significantly although all of his energy was aching to launch him into blinding speed. He walked over to Aiko, with some difficulty. Have you made your choice? If you have, then tell me so that I may know for sure. I am a beggar....a nomad. There isn't a very high chance of us meeting up again any time soon. He focused to control the energy quivering in his legs. He would wait for her answer before leaving.

Aiko looked up at Teishoku, highly confused. then back down at her feet. I thought he'd jump at the chance to get rid of me. "Personally, I'd like to stay with you. You could probrably teach me how to be more useful." She stared up at the sky, returning her shadow to her side instead of her shoulder. "Ahh, but now that you know who I am, you might try to be careful with me. And I don't want to have people careful or wary around me. Is styfling."
Aiko stared at Teishoku's right ear. Eye contact was never her thing, but she liked that she was able to look close enough at his face. Must be getting less nervous around people. "If you would let me, and promise to treat me like any other person, I will stay by your side and honor you as a student does a teacher. I will follow any order and give you loyalty, second to my brother of course." She bowed deeply, hoping he would have her still as his student. At her side, her shadow, shaped as a large panter, bowed to Teishoku.

Teishoku smiled, but only a little. That 'second to my brother' part was bothering him. He would have to figure out about that. Fine....I suppose that will be fair. Stay here. Do as you wish. I have to find my servant. Within a second he was gone, dust covering everything, and the energy of his feet finally being released. His feet flew across the earth as he ran towards the Wind empire in search for the mysterious Durzo Blint

Aiko nodded, leaving him to his own business. She streched and yawned, wondering what she should do now. Her shadow looked curiously up at her, then backed away and morphed into the figure of her teacherand stood in a calm fighting stance. Aiko smiled. Of course. The whole reason I came here. "You couldn't have picked a more perfect face" she said to her shadow as she shifted into her own fighting stance. Her shadow quickly lunged at her as she stepped to the left, and their sparring had begun.

Aiko collapsed on her back in the softest green grass she's ever known. She was breathing heavily, exausted from her hours of sparring with her shadow. If only he was actually here. I could actally do something interesting. Her shadow shifted into the form of a cat and curled up on her stomach. Her thoughts slowly shifted to her brother. I still think something's wrong with the two kingdoms. Something's not right about Teishoku, so he might've lied about it. She wanted to go, but remembered his last words to her was for her to stay there. She sighed and closed her eyes against the bright sun. Her shadow peered at her, then shifted into a bird. It flew to a great height, examining many trees. Finally, it perched on a single limb and pulled off a large leaf and carried it back to Aiko.
Aiko smiled when she saw her shadow fly back towards her. "I'm so glad you're so smart" she said as it landed right beside her. She took the leaf from it in one hand and held a finger on the other to her shadow. It jabbed at it repeatedly, until her finger was budding with blood. Quickly and neatly, she wrote 'In Dakuando Be Back Soon' with her bloody finger. She laid the leaf carefully on a large boulder, then laid a small rock on top of it to hold it in place. She looked down at her shadow and smiled at its preening. "Let's go see brother, friend." She then took off through the woods, retracing her steps back to her brother's kingdom.
