Guild RP idea...

Rich, scientist discovers the ability to see spirits one day and became obsessed with them, he starts researching and studying them for many years. He spends millions of dollars into research about them, getting laughed at by fellow scientist and the sort. However he finds other believers of the super-natural and they try to help out with his findings. He teams up with a well renown bio-chemist and they begin plans on developing a machine so that all of men can see and communicate with the spirits, thus changing life as we all know it, as well as a machine that creates a barrier to fend of dark spirits. They create their machines and teh bio-chemist was in charge of setting the first machine up in the middle of a city. The machine was actually a high-powered bomb and explodes in the large city, killings hundreds of millions of people, including the bio-chemist. This is because the first scientist wasn't interested in regular spirits, he's interested in the shinigami. The large death count is forced to bring them out so that the dark spirits wouldn't feast on the innocent souls, starting with soldier-officer ranks. When they arrive to help the lost souls, unaware of their deaths for their quick deaths, the shinigami are then trapped in some sort of barrier when they arrive, which is the other machine they had developed. They are forced to follow his direction until backup arrives. However when backup does arrive, they too are trapped. As a game, the mad scientist pits the shinigami against each other with random selection and random battle types, to further examine and add onto his research. The remaining shinigami must find the mad scientist, who never truly reveals himself through the whole rp by gathering the information from the scientist, who is too shocked by his death to cooperate with them, and by the hints and clues given from the shinigami trapped within the barrier.

I figured we start the roleplay from the explosion, and go from there. We could use the bio-chemist to provide flashbacks or something along those lines. idk, what do you think?
