The 2nd is a lot better. I still might do something more at the front. You could take a section of hair and make a sidepart of sorts, like a fake bang but not over the whole forehead.
That was probably confusing.

I'll probably let some curls hang down around my face for the actual wedding. This was me just trying to get a feel for it.

When you backcomb, you only do a tiny part of the top of your head, and only in a small section. And then that makes a "base" that you put your non-backcombed hair over to hide it, but still give volume. It shouldn't ruin your hair, because you seriously comb it "wrong" like one stroke, maybe two-three if your hair is super fine and straight.
I really don't trust my hair enough to even do a small section. Seriously. I've had to cut knots out of my head just from doing those Topsy Tail things. I do not trust my hair.
Scary! That goes to show you how little I know about having curly hair. XD
