Personality: Zorro is the type of dog who will stick his nose right where it doesn't belong. Intensely curious and adventurous, he is always looking for something new and exciting to do. Unfortunately that means Zorro is also the type who would chew on the furniture if he wasn't occupied by something else. If he gets bored, he will be even more of a handful that usual, and he can become a bit snappy at times. But he is usually a very friendly and sweet dog towards humans and other animals alike. He loves to get to know others and will sit and listen to a fellow dog as long as they wish to talk to him. Zorro is a surprisingly good listener even though his energy-levels tend to be so high. As long as his mind is occupied, his body can stay still. Naturally Zorro isn't the brightest dog in the kennel, but his attention span and willingness to learn surpasses all the others.

Personality: Skittish and shy, Latte tends to hide around strangers. She is a fearful dog and does not trust others until they prove they are trustworthy. If she ended up cornered somewhere without escape, she might even lash out in self-defense. But Latte is not a vicious dog. She would never really try to hurt someone and if she did, she would feel downright horrible about it afterward. When someone gets to know her, they will see a very docile and uncertain dog that is in need of a confidence boost. She is modest and doesn't think she is anything special or that she can accomplish what other dogs can. Often she has to be encouraged by a friend before she will try something new. However, deep down Latte is playful, so if she is convinced something might be fun, she will be more likely to take a risk.

Personality: A downright serious dog, Slade doesn't tolerate much nonsense. He is the guard dog of the kennels and is usually the first to react when something is amiss. He seems to get along best with his human; other dogs and animals are usually ignored, or even warned to stay away. Slade never seeks out company and loves his space, which makes him distant from the rest of the dogs. He isn't completely cold or joyless, however. He does have a bit of fun occasionally, and he has a dark sense of humour along with a deep streak of sarcasm that might come out at times. He is even capable of moments of gentleness and courtesy if he has grown to respect someone. It is hard to get through Slade's tough outer shell, but once someone breaks through, they will see that Slade isn't all that bad of a dog.

Personality: Café acts like he is hyped on caffeine most of the time. This dog is always awake and ready to play, even in the middle of the night. His absolutely favourite thing is his tennis ball and he would play fetch for hours if someone is willing to throw it for him. But he would also be content to curl up beside his human as she reads a good book. Café loves to spend time with his human and others dogs so much that he sometimes gets upset when he is by himself. He becomes very anxious when he is alone and he is less likely to trust strangers if no one familiar is with him. Occasionally he might growl to show his displeasure to a stranger, but most of the time he chooses to hide instead. Café is the type who will hide from his problems as well. If he makes a mistake, he will feel so guilty that he will slink off for days unless someone encourages him to come out of hiding. He seems to suffer from the same confidence problems as his mother, and he often feels inferior to the other dogs in the kennel.

Personality: The bulky Charlie spends much of his time sleeping on the porch. As far as he can remember, he has been a lazy dog, but he sees no problem with lying around all day. It can be very hard to wake him and sometimes he will wake up in a thunderstorm, his fur drenched to the bone. His increasing weight does not seem to bother him, either. Though he isn't particularly talkative, he is good-natured and he always listens carefully to others, adding a word here in there whenever he feels they are needed. He is the type that is perfect to talk to if someone just needs to let it out to feel better. Once someone confides in Charlie, they can be assured that he will never repeat what he has heard. Charlie is pretty confident in himself, and nothing seems to bring this dog down. Anger isn't his style; to him, getting into a rage is just a waste of energy.
