I drew a character my friend said looked a lot like a Vocaloid character. So I got interested. What is Vocaloid about? Is it an anime or a band? I want to learn as much as I can before I watch or listen to it.

Well it is easier to get it online (you can try ebay, japan yahoo shopping, amazon...) You can almost never find it in actual music/technology stores I think...
It's just a music software, but it can keep you entertained. you can input words, the vibrato and the notes ofr your vocaloid to sing.
