It really depends. I'm not against them. . . and in fact, I enjoy them. As a clinical psychology major, I know that I'm going to have to be able to handle certain serious and frightening situations without getting bent out of shape over them - and humor is one way to do that.

For example, possibly one of my favorite jokes ever if a spoof on Christmas songs:
Quote:

1. Schizophrenia --- Do You Hear What I Hear?
2. Multiple Personality Disorder --- We Three Queens Disoriented Are
3. Amnesia --- I Don't Know if I'll be Home for Christmas
4.Narcissistic --- Hark the Herald Angels Sing About Me
5.Manic --- Deck the Halls and Walls and House and Lawn and Streets and Stores and Office and Town and Cars and Buses and Trucks and Trees and Fire Hydrants and ...
6.Paranoid --- Santa Claus is Coming to Get Me
7.Borderline Personality Disorder --- Thoughts of Roasting on an Open Fire
8. Full Personality Disorder-- You Better Watch Out, I'm Gonna Cry, I'm Gonna Pout, Maybe I'll tell You Why
9.Obsessive Compulsive Disorder ---Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells ..
10.Agoraphobia --- I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day But Wouldn't Leave My House
11. Senile Dementia --- Walking in a Winter Wonderland Miles From My House in My Slippers and Robe
12.Oppositional Defiant Disorder --- I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus So I Burned Down the House
13.Social Anxiety Disorder --- Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas While I Sit Here and Hyperventilate.

xDDD

But in all seriousness, I don't mind jokes as long as they aren't purposefully hurtful . . . or they don't "write off" peoples' illnesses. Depression and ADD and GAD are very real, very serious disorders that shouldn't be dismissed as meaningless. As long as people remember thast, it's all good.

I wouldn't mind as long as the joke isn't meant to tease someone. For example, mimicking someone who's mentally retarded would be hurtful to someone

It depends what it is.
Jokes about depression piss me off no end, because my two best friends both have had very real struggles with it, and have the scars to show for it.
Thus, don't go laughing OH GO CUT YOUR WRISTS EMO KID because I sometimes like to sit in a corner and read instead of being social, or I will hit you. Or at least threaten very realistically mad
Cliches also piss me off. Just because you wear band tees or black skinny jeans, doesn't mean you're emo, doesn't mean you're depressed. it doesn't mean a lot of things, don't go acting like it does.
Jokes about eating disorders also bother me, but it depends what it is. If it's something actually funny, and not hurtful, I may laugh. If it's calling a skinny kid anorexic/bulimic for kicks, I will not. In fact, I will probably gripe at you about how being thin doesn't mean you have an eating disorder.

If it's saying, "darn I'm retarded" or something for getting a bad grade or whatever, I will laugh.
If it's insultingly claiming someone has a mental disease, I will not.

So, back to the OP.
I don't really tell jokes. Occasionally I say things that make people laugh, but I don't intentionally quote joke books.
Depends on whether it's funny or not.
Yes. If it comes from a certain kid I know (the same one who claims I'm emo/mocks my legit depressed friends), I will not laugh, because I know he's being mean by it. If it's from someone who I know better, and know is actually joking, I probably would.
A bit.
Yes. If it's funny, I laugh. If it isn't, I don't.
