It wasn't the first time he'd gotten a letter of his nature though the last one was some time ago. He'd raised his first son from a toddler to adult, that son was now raising a family of his own. He'd thought that he was going to move on from being Dad to Grandpa instead and then the letter had appeared in the mail and he was apprehensive and excited at the same time. He wanted to go to see the child that was waiting for him, wanted another son to look after, and he'd never even considered saying no.

He left his buddies behind, laughing about him and calling 'Daddy June', while headed forth to these Labs, different ones then the last ones he'd gotten summoned to, and approached in a rather excited fashion which might look a bit odd on a guy his size. He paused at the door, wondering if should knock... so he did so, knocking before he stepped inside and looked around for a receptionist that might help to point him in the right direction.

June nodded his head as he dug into his pocket and got out the letter, holding it out to the woman as though to prove that he was in fact here for the reason mentioned within. He was doing his best to keep from showing how excited he really was, he had rather missed having a little one in the house. He could only hope that this one wasn't as bitey as the last son he'd raised... not that he could fault the boy, it wasn't his fault after all that he had aggressive blood lines.

"Been a while since I got something like this in the mail." He said, giving a bit of a smile. While he was a giant of a man, looked dangerous due to his many tattoos and many scars anyone could tell just looking at him that he was a softy at heart.

June thought on it for a long moment before giving a shake of his head, "I can't say I have a preference, no. Less... aggressive perhaps then my last son... no, no. I wouldn't want to refuse a kid just due to a problem with their personality." He said in rush, not wanting for the woman to think badly of him. He felt guilty in fact for even suggesting it, he loved Duncan even if the boy had left him with more scars then he could count due to his many rages when he was still young.

"I can take in any child that is in need of a home." He told her finally, his home and heart were open, he rather liked raising kids and being a dad. He just wasn't very good at being a lover or husband material was all.

He tilted his head to the side in a thoughtful manner before shaking his head, "Oh, no... no. I couldn't pick one or else I would end up going home with a dozen of them due to the inability to say 'no' to any of them." He could just imagine the teasing he'd get from his band mates then... bad enough he was going out to get one little one to bring home. If he came back with enough to start a basketball team well he was sure the teasing would never end.

"I will leave it up to you, whoever needs me most I will bring home." He said with a smile.

June nodded, feeling his heart skip a beat at the thought, "Yeah, I can't wait. Its been a while since I was needed in the Dad capacity." He said, waiting in nervous manner. It was as though he were awaiting a doctor coming out to tell him that his son or daughter had been born, the feelings he felt were similar.

He turned toward the direction the woman had left in when he heard an interesting 'click, click, click' sound and his eyes went a bit wide, "Wow." He murmured, stepping forward with wide eyes. This wasn't what he was expecting, he'd never see a centaur before this moment and he was quite amazed. He knelt down in front of the little one and gave him... he thought it was a him, a smile.

The little boy looked up at the giant of a man with huge, mismatched eyes before he shifted in place making more clicking sounds as he shift in place, hands tightening on the thing he held until it gave an uncomfortable squeak and started to squirm a little bit.

The moment his little companion was taken from his grasp the taur boy burst into tears, startling June a little. He'd dealt with a child that was about the polar opposite of this one but... he found himself reminded of the one that his son was with these days. When he was younger Duncan had done everything in his power to make his friend cry...

He reached a hand out to rest it on the boy's strange, leafy hair, "Its alright, I promise that it will be." He said in a reassuring manner. It would seem that the gentle touch helped as the boy sniffled then reached his hands up to rest them on the hand that was rested on his head, clinging to it. He was more then a little skittish about this person but at the same time he felt the overwhelming desire to hold onto him and not let go. Daddy... the woman said this was his Daddy and he was not about to let the man go.

June smiled when the boy caught hold of him despite his fears then looked up at the woman, "Is there anything I should know about him before we head for home?" He asked of the woman, wanting to get all the information that was important to the boy before it because trial and error.

The little boy gave a happy sound when his little friend was handed back to him complete with a leash so that it wouldn't able to escape. He put his hand through the loop on the edge of the leash before he hugged the animal to his chest, careful not to squish it as tightly this time around.

June watched as the critter was handed back to the boy. So he was getting a son as well as his son's pet, that would add an interesting angle to this he thought before smile, "We should be fine, I make enough money to easily provide for us but I will let you know if we need assistance at any point." He told the woman before he wrapped his arms around the boy in a careful manner and easily lifted him up off his hooves.

A squeal of surprise and delight escaped from the unidryad and he was soon looking up at June as though he were the most amazing thing that he had before witnessed. This man... he could... he could pick him! His tail set to swishing a bit and a smile brighter then any June had seen so far appeared on his lips.

"Health Drive? Sounds good. I will bring him in for that." A checkup would probably be a good for the boy, just to make sure that he was alright.

June gave her a nod and a smile before the small group headed out of the Labs, "Lets go find us a names book so we can pick out a good name for you, cutie." He said to the red head as they headed out and toward home.
