Echo woke from yet another nightmare. These nightmares have been getting to him a lot lately. He began to scan the surroundings and he noticed Hima curled up next to him shivering. He slowly extended his leather wing to curl over her.
He quickly pretended to fall back asleep in case he had disturbed her. Ugh... this isn't good.

Yes, Echo woke Hima up with the sudden change in temperature, but she wasn't upset about it. She looked at him a moment and frowned; he was looking rather upset. Maybe he had a bad dream or something? So, she leaned in and nuzzled his face a minute before crawling out from under his wing and stretched out once again.
"Maybe your not such a bad guy...."

"What?! I totally am!" Echo sprang to his feet and began to show off his pearly white fangs. "I'm as bad as they come!"
Echo scratched his horns into the dirt trying to make himself look more masculine. "I'll TOTALLY prove it to you!"

The girl snorted at him. "Right, right. Echo, you think you're so bad a**, but look at you..." She cooed and moved in toward him, hoping to nuzzle up against him to soften his expression again. Hima wanted to prove that he would be weak against her; at least, she prayed that it would work that way! If not, she would probably be a bit hurt.

(( Are we going to turn this into a Breeding Plot? ))
Hima came close and he grimaced. On one hand, he wanted her close. On the other... he wanted to prove that he could still be strong and that he didn't really need one. He had no idea what to do.

[I... don't know. She's just flirting for now. xD
If you would like too, I'm not objecting, but if not, then I have no problems with that, either!]
And she couldn't help but laugh at his confusion. But it was more of a small giggle. Hima danced away from him, flapping her wings and taking to the sky, hovering above him. "See? You like are not a bad guy, you're just a bit rough! And it isn't bad!" She hovered so close, she put a paw through his bangs and then went up further into the sky, seeing what he would do.

With that, he took off to the sky. He would prove that he's tough! He didn't like his hair being ruffled like that though.
"Get back here!" I can't let her out of my sight, what if something happens to her?
(( It's up to you really! <3 ))

She was in the air, swooping around in the wind, doing circles and going near the ground before diving back up. Hima looked behind her and saw Echo was following with her and she grinned. She climbed higher and higher into the sky.
A sudden gust of wind caught Hima by surprise and sent her spiraling in the air, and then fell back down. The joints where her wings met her body. At the lest second, Hima managed to pull herself back into the air with hissing noises and landed on a thick tree trunk. "A-ahnm.... Ow, ow.." She pouted a bit more and pulled a wing around to examine it. No feathers missing, but it hurt to move her wings.
[I think I'd like that!

Echo witnessed something he'd hope he'd never have to see. Hima began to fall from the air. He watched her hit the tree trunk. With that, Echo dove. He sped towards the earth faster than he's ever tried to before.
Echo felt unmistakable anger. He approached the tree. If it had not been there, Hima would be safe. He began to but his horns against the tree until it gave way. His head hurt, but he continued to pound away until the tree fell. His breath was fast and labored and he realized there was liquid falling from his head towards his nose.
Echo ran towards Hima. "Are you okay?!" "Uh... I mean... Ugh... Are you okay?"

Hima was fine in comparison to the now bleeding Echo. When he landed and she saw the blood trickling, the light female quickly forgot her own hurt and moved over to him, raising her head and lapping at his wound. "Echo, how'd you get hurt?" She didn't see him follow her, or hear him collide with anything. Then again, she didn't hear much in her free fall except the wind in her ears.

"Stupid tree!" He collapsed on his rear and relaxed for a minute. It's true, he was bleeding. There wasn't much he could do about it now though, the damage had been done. "Are you okay? Don't worry about me, I'll be fine."

So he'd it a tree? How does, nevermind. Hima was still fretting over him, trying to get the bleeding to stop. When it slowed down, the light furred one pulled away and gave a small shrug. "My joints hurt, but I'm fine. Really! I'm tough as a tree root!" She turned in a circle to show him that she was, in fact, fine.

"Well... if you're sure. Let's stick to the ground for a bit then, just until your wing joints heal a bit. I feel like there's a nasty storm coming too."
Echo kicked the tree one more time to show it who was boss. They were in the middle of a dense forest. He'd never been here before; he'd normally just fly overhead. "I wonder what's in here..."

When he mentioned the storm, she felt the charge in the air and nodded. There was a storm coming, and a glance at the once blue sky told her it wouldn't be too much longer before it was upon them. Her eyes flicked to him with a smirk and then she jumped down off the branch, onto one lower and peeked inside the owl hole there.
No owl, so she grinned. "Come this way. We'll be dry in here. Might be a little cramped, but we will be out of the storm." With that, the light female went inside, situating herself to one side with just enough room for Echo.
