How long do your chapters need to be to be considered a 'chapter'? Page wise. (I use Microsoft Word so...not sure if it makes any difference.) Just need some advice because I am unsure about my chapter lengths. Mine are usually ten to fifteen pages. ( emo )
Not sure if this belongs here. ._.;

Well chapters can be a small as a paragraph, or as long as 100 pages, its seriously up to you I have chapters only 1000 words long and other way longer... its up to you... my teacher said that to look at them like finishing a thought and wanting to say you completed something...

I just say its however long you want it. I have seen chapters that are only like 2 paragraphs. It should be up to the author

Depends on what you're writing. As was said, chapeters have been a snetence. But that usually only works in a comedy of some sort. Chapters are like long paragrpahs. They should end when somehting of signifance changes. Like an idea or a narrator or something.

I would have to agree with Erin, some chapters are short, others long, all it is is an idea, a part of the story and when the idea is changed so is the chapter.
