Basic Information
The weapon uses the Steyr AUG weapons platform and supplements it with XM8 internals, including a 12.5 inch compact polygonal barrel. While the XM8 failed to place any dramatic capabilities, it's small barrel that was capable of producing roughly 920 m/s did prove the increased capability of polygonal rifling. Using the ultra compact barrel, placed inside of a Bull-pup body, the weapon achieves an extraordinarily small platform capable of delivering standard rifle rounds at standard rifle capabilities in an extraordinarily small platform.
