my wife-to-be and i went to the Scarborough faire today, we left early because she was tired and it was cold rainy and thus muddy.
but i just want to share some tales: First thing that happened was Jess Fighter,(my fiancé) went and danced a unique dance with the staff just outside of the entrance, well, my sis ruined the video i recorded of it and i snapped, family issue began but we settled it by a fake-sword fight(april, aka "lirpa", my sister, wound out hitting my nerve ending on one finger making me yelp and lose) then we searched around for 'shops' and found...on ocarina shop i now have a black colored 6-hole sweet potato ocarina complete with a how-to-play of all LOZ ocarina of time songs (WHOOOHOO FOR SCARBOROUGH) Jess however wanted a pan flute so after FIVE TRIES we found the flutist (try1: we we stopped by a shop owner, try2 my moth called me because she was mad{heard about the issue} try3 we wound up on the wrong side of the faire, try four, lirpa interupted us and thats when we had our fight, try 5 found it) Jess wanted a six-pipe but all the guy had was 7 or 8 pipe pan flutes, so i purchased her the 7-pipe pan flute she liked the most and unlike my ocarina, hers didnt come with additional musical notation sheets, but she's musically inclined so she was able to easily do zelda's lullaby (dang she's good too)
later lirpa and her BF went one way where as jess and i went another Jess and i passed by an archery place, and we stopped and got trained how to use a bow and arrow, and then jess wanted a bow&arrow set of her own so i shelled out half this time whereas she shelled out the other half
lastly we went into the mythical creature museum right near the end a animatronic Boggart scared her silly-willy and i stood there holding onto her (which felt great minus her screaming which hurt my ears pretty badly) then it was time for the parade,
after the parade Lirpa and her BF rendezvoused with us and we left the faire due to dropping temp and increasing rain and mud quantities and then stopped at whataburger for some food
on the ride after that, Jess and i nearly feel alseep but in this slow drift to dreamland, we were both holding each other's off-hand (my right hand held her left hand, both being our off-hands as she's a righty and i'm a lefty)
lastly before she headed home, i gave her a big, warm firm hug and i gotta say, today was worth the wait
but lord almighty, if the wedding costs dont interfere, i am so going next year, and i'm taking more this next time around so we can stay all day and grab ourselves some of this awesome-smelling Renaissance cooking-style food.
