I Like a picture of my friend and decided to draw it. I did it in prismacolored pencils because i suck at everthing else. I dont like his nose very much and it a little off. It should be turned just a little more like the rest of the face. I dont like his lips either...I don't know what it is about them i dont like but its a little scary. I know his shirt looks purple in the picture I drew, but thats the way it looks if you see it!! Maybe its a lillte gray but it really does look purple. Tell me what you thing and if you have any advise.

I think you did each feature well, but they don't line up with each other. This makes the face look twisted. In general, your features should be parallel with each other. I did some quick doodles to show you what I mean:

The nose and the mouth have the most different axis on your drawing, but the other features are slightly off too.

We are used to looking at human faces, so when a drawing is a little off, it tends to get noticed. My advice would be to do a quick check during your sketching phase to make sure that the features are correct relative to each other.

That being said, I think the rest of the picture is very good. You have very good control over your colored pencils. The shading and colors are really nice.

I know his nose was off... a little to late. It looked fine before I started coloring it. Thank you for you help! I think I over define things.

That's wonderful. ^.^
I love the shading that you did and it mostly does represent the picture. 3nodding

Excellent biggrin

At last, a person who doesn't use black for every single shadow!

Facial features are hard, I always found it easier to work larger. Hurray for prismacolor! pirate
