Question:
I have read the levelling system, but I don't understand the difference between Skill sets and Occupations, explain?
Answer
Well first, it should be noted that Skill sets are purely meant for combat, meaning if your character uses a sword you would typically go for swordsman, projectile weaponry, you'd go for marksmen typically, etc.
the Occupational part of your profile is meant to tell us what your character excels in outside of combat situations, such as Blacksmithing, Carpentry, Medic, etc. This is to add a little quirk to your character really, to allow a fair bit of variation between characters. it should also be noted that Occupational moves you create don't have to be limited to out of combat scenario's.
Question:
What is accepted within the Occupation slot on our profiles?
Answer:
As stated before, the Occupation slot of your profiles are meant for non combat related training fields, such as Black smiths, engineers, ranchers, etc. I'd rather not name all possibilities cause I'll leave that to you, allow your creativity to grow within this large space we have given you.
Question:
What is accepted within the Skill Set section of the profile?
Answer:
Pretty much, use a phrase or one/two words to best describe how, or what your character uses to fight in combat situations. Such as, are they an assassin? Or do they tend to go for heavy armor and a great sword? An example would be that the Character "Sedrick Rekt" Is a close combat fighter who uses an unusual monk like training combined with the use of alcohol. In Short, he is a "Little Boozer" If you are asked to add a small description as to the capabilities of such a skill set choice, it's simply to make it more clear for others.
Question:
Am I able to go for as many elements as I want for my character?
Answer:
No, as stated in the levelling system, elements are restricted to two elements per character at max, this is to prevent over empowerment, although combining of two different magical fields to give your character an edge is encouraged. (It should also be noted that certain Rp scenario's could grant your character a different element.) Creative approaches to this limitation are smiled upon, although we don't want to see abuse, if any of the limits are overly abused in anyway, more rules will be set in place. A bummer I know, but that is a last resort.
Question:
What does UC mean?
Answer:
It is usually put with the title of a thread that is unfinished, meaning: "Under Construction" In this guild you'll see it in the profile area mostly.
Question:
Can I just say I have a weapon/armor? Like; "Oh yeah, I have plate armor/claymore."
Answer:
In short, no this isn't acceptable. As stated in the Guild Rules, if its not on your profile, its not in existence for that character. It is very vital that you mention what your character is, hell if you want to say how heavy each thing is thats even better. This also allows the mods to perform at a much better level of approval and they can offer you more alternatives this way. This includes Items! Such as if your character suddenly has a pair of bracer with magic stones that can store your magical energy? You better damn hope you got it on your profile or it'll be no deal.
