 The Sealing Wand Cardcaptor SakuraApril 20-30, 11:59p Central
As the title suggests, this contest is about designing a new Clow Card with the prize being your very own Sealing Wand (in gladier form!) ^_~
If you're unfamiliar with the series:
The cards represent a combination of Eastern and Western magic centered on the concepts of natural forces and elements. Each Clow Card has its own personality, ranging from good-natured to violent, and its own powers that are mostly centered around an elemental force or performing a specific task.

You don't need to be an art master to take part, but please put as much effort into your entry as possible. So, if you're just going to do a quick MSPaint doodle... don't really expect to win this time.
There is no set theme, go wild with your card designs!
Guidelines ::
Use Photobucket or another reliable host until the contest closes.
Post your entries as thumbnails.
Artwork must be original.
Try and present your design as a card from the series (example of Clow Card).

Card Name: The Heal Artist: Tenko72 Power: The Heal has the power to...heal. Its strength is determined by the magician's powers and her desire to heal the specified target. It is similar to The Shield in that way. Design:

Card Name: The Prayer Artist: Blank background source: (Sakura-Martinez on Deviantart) Character/Word: -_Wish of the Goddess_- Power: The Prayer card allows the user to temporarily enact one of their hearts dearest wishes. The kick to this is that the wish must be pure in intent, and the duration is only a temporary period lasting anywhere from one minute, to five minutes, total. Design:

Card Name: The Bind Artist: Face Your Demons (Background edited from one of the actual clow card images). Power: To hold or pull together, to keep from falling apart. Its application is limited only by the user's power and imagination; need to keep a bridge from crumbling? What about a big stack of pancakes from falling over? Basically, to bind things. It uses its red thread, though it works similarly to the other cards in that no one who is unfamiliar with the magic of the clow cards can see it as it binds. I wonder, does it work on hearts?... Card Name: The Nightmare Artist: Strait Jacket Girl Power: He manipulates Dream turning even the slightest dream into a nightmare. This is where his powers stem from. SO long as someone within a 50 mile radius is sleeping what ever the nigthmare plays on it will stem what power he has in refference to elements. Something anything dealing with anger or fire's will feed a control to a degree over fire. A nightmare based mainly on a nighttime scare or such will lead to a manipulation of shadows for his power. (All only to a certain degree/There is a power cap so to speak) Design:

Card Name: The Trust Artist: Orangeish Sherbert Power: The trust is a tricky little card. It has the power to make anyone and everyone trust it, which is why it comes in the form of a little girl. When the card uses it's power to make people trust it, it also causes the one releasing the card's power to be trusted with anything as well. If the card is not being controlled however, it has the power to break strong bonds of trust on a whim, as well as create them. The card holder will be able to have these powers as well, but it takes a very powerful magician to be able to unlock these secrets. Design: First Sketch

Card Name: The Tear Artist: Entivo a.k.a Yukita@DA Card background stock from here. Power: The tear is not something to be taken lightly. It magnifies your most previous emotion to a highly elevated state, causing streams of tears to run down your cheeks. At first this would only seem like a mild distraction, but if your will power is not stronger than that of the card, you will soon lose yourself in your emotions; falling deeply into depression, rage, or happiness. Although the cards effects are very extreme, it has a rather bland demeanor. This is a clear indication that even the most stagnant emotions can lead to tears in this cards presence. As shown, it too can be overcome by it's own ability. Design:

Card Name: The Spirit Artist: myself Power: It allows the user's spirit to safely leave the body in a form somewhat similar to that of a ghost. It can be used to sneak around and even enter other persons's bodies. Design: I'm not paintshop-savvy so this is the best I could do. Gomen. *bows*
