Eric loosened up a bit more as CJ helped him with the table. He still tended to keep close to his mother though. Ally, on the other hand, went right back over to the man when she was done setting her half of the table. "Are we waiting for Aunt Roxy and Uncle Warp?" she asked, looking over at Misty.
"No, they went out to dinner together today." Alex replied, putting the last of the food on the table. "It's just us for today."
Ally's smile widened, and she looked back up at CJ. "You can sit in their seat by me."

C.J. smiled back. "I'd love to." he said. A good hot meal was a rarity when he was on the road . . . and for once it wasn't canned gumbo!

Ally beamed and led him over to her side of the table. She stood behind one of the chairs and pulled it out all the way. Then pulled out the chair next to it that was stacked with about three pillows. She climbed up and into the chair with surprisingly little difficulty. Though...for anyone who knew what powers her mother had...being a skilled climber was no surprise.
"Go ahead and help yourself to whatever you'd like." Misty said, picking up her son and sitting him in the chair next to his sister.

C.J. smiled as he sat down next to Ally after pushing her chair in after she sat down. "Thanks, y'all. It means a lot." he said as he waited for everyone to be seated before he went for the food.

That's not true. Y'all go out in the main forum . . . got some sorta plan for you in the other forum, too. You actually get pretty lucky!
"Okay okay. Fair 'nuff."
C.J. smiled a little bit. "Aww, that was nothing really. Just good circumstances . . . and WAY better brakes." he said, relaxed as he started to eat a little bit. After at least four weeks straight of truck-stop showers, canned gumbo and parking into church lots to grab a few hours of sleep, this was a very welcome change of pace.

Yeah, it's not so bad. You're doing pretty well with Saph in the main RP. Well, minus the whole going to rescue her thing and her not being there and some of Hades workers there waiting to take away the dead and perhaps you. ….um.... Well you're alright in Arkham Asylum RP! You've got things patched up with Saph, the kids still love ya, and there's another surprise for you on the way! Then again, Vandal could come back from the dead and be on a blood lust thing for you and the family. Or Natalia could break in before that and try to kill you. Or a vengeful Rebecca who feels if her son is now fatherless so should the rest of your family. …..um.... well.... er.... …. …. You've got a pretty darn clean slate in the Reboot RP! Totally nothing happening to you there yet! That's a good thing! … unless someone else makes a move for Saph in her current single state. Or vice versa for you. …... you know what, forget it. Back on track. Completely different RP here.Misty smiled back at CJ. ”Well, thank you again.” she said. Ally beamed as she sat beside her new friend and took a bite off of her own plate. ”Is it good?” she asked happily. Her brother simply sat in his chair with his head down and nibbled shyly at his food.

C.J. smiled back at Misty. "It's my pleasure, hon." he mentioned as he took a bite of his food, taking his time eating . . . mostly enjoying it. "This is really good!" he said with a smile as he enjoyed his meal . . . and the new company. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but something felt right here . . . like home.

"It is!" Ally agreed, beaming up at her new friend. "Usually Aunt Alex burns the food and we have to eat microwave food."
Misty grinned and held back a chuckle as she looked towards Alex. The other woman was red in the face and shook her head. "Hey, at least I'm getting better about it now. Should be able to take smoke detector batteries out of the monthly bill."

We were gone for a while in real life time, dude. She coulda just popped in.
"Oh yeah . . . well, this should be good. This is WAY better than that hotel!"
Shh!!! She might have 4th wall powers. You don't wanna get turned into a newt, do you?
"I got better last time!"
C.J. smiled at Alex and chuckled. "You think that's bad, I think it's my friend Dun's turn to cook tonight back home . . ." he said before hearing a small explosion out in the distance over by the railroad yard. "Yup . . . and there goes the kitchen THERE. Hopefully Arell still managed to find the fire extinguisher." he said with a shrug. He would have been worried, but they usually wound up okay.

The two women looked out the large glass windows in the living room that overlooked the city. (Or, cities in this case...) Both watched the small trail of smoke snake up through the buildings and into the air, then glanced back over at CJ.
”Does... that sort of thing happen often?” Misty asked.
”Doesn't matter. I officially give myself points for never blowing anything up while cooking.” Alex said, turning her attention back to getting herself a plate of food.

C.J. smiled "Only when it's Dun's turn to cook. Otherwise, it's pretty safe." he said before giving them a quick text asking if they were okay. Once he got confirmation they were good, he smirked. "Fortunately, nobody got hurt, although I think Mr. Walcott's gonna have a talk with them. No worries." he said as he took another bite. However, some things were replaying in the back of his mind.
"OOH! When we get to the part where she spent the night at the circus, can I rewind that a few times?"
