Here's my reasons for not supporting such a day.
1. Their claim that GLBTs are the only victims is totally absurd because of the fact that GLBTs have done some crimes themselves are yet are lacking in prosecution.
2. Supporting immoral behavior would only lead to social chaos and collapse.
Does this mean that I'm a homophobe? Of course not. I do support GLBTs, but I do condemn their immoral behavior. If anything, homosexual/lesbian/bisexual acts are contrary to the natural law which God had made out of love.
Discriminating GLBTs because of their sexual orientation is immoral, because discriminating human beings for any reason downgrades human dignity. If anything, they need respect, compassion, sensitivity and not pity.
The problem with the gay rights activism promoted by such events is that many of the platforms that gay rights activists pursue are attacks against human dignity and human life. Take for example, same-sex "marriage". On the outside (especially how gay rights activists paint it), it would look beautiful and non-discriminatory. In reality, it cannot be farther from the truth. Same-sex unions/"marriage" are attacks against marriage because it perverts the definition of marriage, meaning between a man and a woman. It also attacks human dignity, because it leads to discrimination against those who are truly married. It also attacks human life, because it removes procreation from the purpose of marriage.
Thus, I ask of the people who are going to participate in the "Day of Silence" to think about what I have said before joining such an event.
