Cloak is the villain of my story. She is insane; manic.
No one knows where she came from or what her goals are. She just spends the nights terrorising the city for no apparent reason. She is a very angry, vengeful person with no discretion or moral compass. When backed into a corner (good luck with that…) she would bite. When she is angry she levels a building, when she is frustrated she breaks a few dams, when she is happy she kills a few innocent bystanders. Everything ends up at the same place: destruction. Not much of a conversationalist either, she tends to jump from one topic to another without reason or warning… but generally speaking anyone talking to her would probably be to scared to register what she was saying anyway. She isn’t Godzilla type destructive. She is more subtle than that. Most of the time. It is usually small, contained, incidents.
Cloak’s power is illusion. Well, she effects people’s senses. But it’s a pretty much unlimited power. If she makes you see/feel something, you are seeing/feeling it, end of story. (Actually, most people who she ******** are probably about to die anyway, so really end of story.) It is so… overwhelming that it takes the main characters pretty much half the book to figure out that she isn’t actually altering reality. She doesn’t need to be able to see you or even know that she is doing it to mess with your head. If she were to… say… make everyone see a building on fire, and someone were to take a picture of it, when you looked at that picture the building would look like it was on fire. Even years later. Even after Cloak is dead.
Hair: Green and a bit longer than shoulder length. Messy and uneven. It is not taken care of.
Eyes: Green, big and expressive. Long dark lashes.
Facial Structure: Narrow features; skinny, almost sickly. Big eyes.
Skin: Pale
Body Type: Skinny with knobby knees and joints. Think malnourished, but not to an extreme. Like she is a little bit anorexic.... skinny, bony, a little bit sickly.
Clothes: The only clothing Cloak wears is a simple white dress. Spaghetti strapped, straight neckline, no embellishments. Maybe a little bit of lace along the bottom, and by a little, I mean absolutely minimal. The picture to the right is a perfect example. Think a nightgown or a slip. No shoes, no bracelet, no hair do-dahs, nothing. Just the dress.
♔ What I Want to See In Art of Cloak ♔ Her outfit is extremely simple, what I am looking for is character. I want to see as much expression and personality in that picture as possible. Angry, sad, murderous, panicked, anything. Just something. And lots of it.
