@Juuo: It would be so interesting if Germany (let's say if he really was HRE) actually regained his memories. I wonder how he will handle it if he found out that Italy was his first love?

Oh sure! It's an EPIC fanfiction, though the main ship is America/Japan.
This fanfic actually deals with the Cold War, but the author is so talented that she was able to embed Germany/Italy, Russia/China, and France/England in her fic. (Those are the main ships aside from America/Japan).

Unfortunately it's not finished yet, but it's well-way into the story!
