Alfred F. Jones/Kiku Honda
Since I am the biggest America/Japan shipper around, I decided to make the thread about the ship! I love this ship like you have NO idea...
TOO BAD IT'S NOT VERY POPULAR. ;A;
Oh well. At least I have the knowledge that other people know I'm super loyal to this ship. xD
Anyway, I think this is perhaps the cutest Hetalia ship out there (aside from Germany/Italy) even if it IS a crack pairing.
And under the right conditions, USA/JPN can actually be very very sexy. cool
The couple is based mainly on their angsty past during World War 2 (and I think I don't need to explain what the events were) but it is also based on their close relationship in the modern times. Other factors for this ship include the westernization of Japan in the 1800's and various modern instances that are shown in the web comic and manga, such as America being afraid of his own horror movies and video games, but not those of Japan, while it is the other way around for the latter.
These two also share the classic "opposites attract" scenario: since America has a very energetic and cheerful personality, he is able to give Japan a bit more self-esteem and draw him out of his shell, while Japan's maturity in turn is able to calm America's immature and impulsive behavior to a certain degree.
So talk about the pairing, post pictures, videos, their moments in the anime/web comic, etc. Even just casual talk about it is fine. Just, no bashing please!
