Hi everyone! I am having major trouble with coming up with code names for agents of a secret organization in a story I'm writing. Do you have any ideas for names? Thanks for any help you can give!! heart biggrin

When it comes to any codenames/nicknames I have to come up with, I like to take the character's personality and create a name that matches it. For example, the cold, logical predatory hunter? Call him "Hunter". Unoriginal? Maybe not, but it works.

To be honest, I don't bother coming up with something unique or original, mostly. I just go with what sounds nice, and what I like.
Reaper, the cold, brutal leader of a Private Military Company Longshot, an over the top, womanizing sniper Paladin, the explosive expert with a golden heart Angel, the cute, quirky pilot.
So on, so on. It's also fun to poke fun at your own names "Reaper? Bloody, hell you're a creative man ain't ya."

Perhaps with code names you could pick something completely random and out of place. I give a few of my friends code names because we don't want people to know who we are talking about, or we don't want them to know we're talking about them. We use "Pillow", "Caramel", "One", "Committee" (that's a group of people), "Special" (a specific group of people), and others. Go random!
