I just wanted to express my feelings about your president. He confirmed he'd fly in for our president's funeral. This is extremely important to us and you should not be dissapointed with him (at least this time around).

Our president is also attending the funeral. =)
And eventhough I'm not American, I think Obama is doing a good job as a president.

There appears to be a trend with him: Europeans seem to have a much higher opinion of Obama than most Americans do. This thread isn't about that, though, so I shall say no more on the subject.

WAT
This is the first I'm hearing of this. I stopped watching the new on TV because they never play much of the important news here in America. Example "North Korea threatens to blow up Hawaii today.....here is a two our segment of Micheal Jackson' death instead though". rolleyes
Anyways, hows things going now? Everything coming back together in Poland alright? This is terrible news, and I'm hearing it about five days late. gonk

Well, this time US media did a bit better.
Nevertheless, we have funerals starting today, with president's oine being on Sunday. Lots of VIPs are coming, including presidents of US and Russia (and also of Afghanistan, for example). Several kings/princes want to come. And, which is pretty interesting, the Grand Master of the Maltese Order.

Yeah the volcano is messing everything up and most airports are closed. Hopefully people can somehow get to the funeral anyway.

Volvy: flights are cancelled throughout Europe. Hence people try to get to their destinations using other means of transport, e.g. trains. Which results in trains being fully booked.
And so I'll be home 24 hours later than planned.... And I have to sleep in Berlin.
