Logia Devil Fruit {Nature Abilities}



Logia literally translated as Nature System, is a type of Devil Fruit. It is commonly characterized by giving its user the ability to turn into a natural element. Logia Devil Fruits are considered the most powerful of the three groups, as well as the rarest of the three types of Devil Fruit as a whole.

Effects
With these fruits, the user may actually become a natural element. They are neither completely human nor element in their default state. Logia users can turn completely into their element if they want to. This is often used for crossing great distances quickly, or avoiding blows should their weakness be discovered. They have also shown the ability to use their powers to fight more indirectly, such as Crocodile's ability to suck the moisture out of anything.

Strengths
Even in their default states, Logia users are virtually invincible, taking no damage from physical attacks. For example, if their element is not solid, a blow can pass right through the user while they maintain the rest of their body, and can even hold onto objects at the same time. Even Aokiji's solid ice body will reform instantly if it is broken. If the user trains their new powers, they can manipulate anything related to their element such as Crocodile's sand power giving him the ability to absorb moisture, or Enel's ability to use the heat from his lightning to reshape objects via melting. Logia users can tap unlimited amounts of their elements from their own bodies. The "extracted" element can be manipulated however the user wants.

Most Logia seem to have the ability to "fly". They either turn their whole body into their element, or just the lower half of the body. Smoker and Crocodile are two of the many capable of doing such a feat. Additionally, a Logia user's power over the element they control seems to afford them immunity to effects that they would normally be susceptible to.

Weaknesses
The main method of causing harm to a Logia user (aside from exploiting the effects of the sea and Seastone) are natural weaknesses which, when exploited, can ultimately lower or negate a Logia user's power. For example, the electrically powered Enel can be hurt by insulating substances like rubber, which also makes the insulator immune to his lighting attacks. Another example is Crocodile, who, made of sand, can be struck if his body is dampened first.

The only other time a physical blow may hurt the user is when he or she is caught off guard, as this gives the user no time to mentally change into their elemental form. However, the powers of a Logia can be trained to counter this problem. An example was Crocodile, who honed his abilities to the point of being able to turn on his powers as a reflex to a blow.

Also, Logia users tend not to have any defensive abilities apart from their ability to turn into an element and let the attack pass through them. Because of this, when this ability is overcome, the Logia user usually has to dodge attacks. However, all of the users shown so far are seen to be quite resilient, and can get back up even after receiving some hard strikes.

"Haki" users have been seen to use their Haki against Logias to harm them. The details of this method is yet to be revealed. It should be noted that both Aokiji and Akainu have both been hit by Haki users with what would have been lethal attacks, yet they remained unaffected by the attacks. However, Akainu does mention that it is annoying to fight Haki users. Perhaps because it is a battle of two wills instead of simply being a physical attack.

Other Info
Logia is the most powerful and rarest of the three groups of Devil Fruit. The only type of Devil Fruit that is rarer is a Mythical Zoan. Logia users cannot control their elements if it is in another state of matter. However, they may use their surroundings to generate it. These Devil Fruits are also not limited to the classical elements: fire, water, earth, and air, but includes physical states like smoke and sand. There are two types: tangible (something a person could hold like sand or ice) and intangible (something that could not be held like smoke or fire). Logia Devil Fruits can also be divided into two other types forms of matter (smoke, sand, ice, lava or fire) and forms of energy (electricity or light). The only known Logia that does not fit into the latter method of categorization is Blackbeard's Darkness. Furthermore, their ability to move out of harm's way by using their powers seems to serve as a defense-mechanism of sorts designed to save them from otherwise life-threatening attacks (i.e. getting cut in half). If not trained properly (like Crocodile has), it could be easily bypassed by non-lethal physical attacks. This was demonstrated by Luffy in Nanohana where he used a Gomu Gomu No Rocket to propel himself inside a restaurant, where he sent Smoker and Ace (both Logia-type users) flying. It appears that Logia users transformed in intangible elements such as light can still be pushed (as demonstrated when an explosion blasted Kizaru).

However, amongst the Logia fruits there seems to be an order of superiority. Akainu's magma overpowered Ace's fire. This left Ace in a state in which no medical aid could possibly hope to save him. This is an example of the danger of placing an inferior Logia against a superior one. Undoubtedly the Yami Yami no Mi, which has unique traits not found in other Logia fruit, has the potential to be dangerous to all Devil Fruit classes not just Logia. Something almost all Logia users seem to share (except for Marshall D. Teach), is they are not used to getting hit due to being so used to their virtual invincibility, and are visibly shaken when they are harmed, despite their resilience.

Many users of Logia fruits seem to have created their own form of personal transportation and use their abilities to power these devices. Among these are Ace's Striker, a small ship powered by his flame powers, Smoker's Blower Bike, a three wheeled bike powered by his smoke powers, Aokiji's Ao Chari, a bicycle which he uses to cross the sea, freezing a small line in the water to ride on and Enel's Ark: Maxim, a ship which uses gold as a conductor for Enel's electric ability to power the ship.

Smoke-Smoke Fruit
Smoke, White, Hard To Hit

Background:
The Moku Moku no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to transform into smoke at will. "Mokumoku" means sound billowing smoke makes. "Moku" is also an anagram of "kumo", which means "cloud". In the Viz English manga and FUNimation dub, this fruit is called the Plume-Plume Fruit, while in the 4Kids dub, it's called the Smoke-Smoke Fruit. This Devil Fruit was eaten by Smoker.

Smoker has mainly used the smoke produced by his fruit to capture his opponents, earning him the nickname "White Hunter". He covers his targets with an intangible smoke, then solidifies it to make the capture or a strike.

Smoker has also shown to power the engine of his motorbike, the Blower Bike, with his smoke powers, allowing in-land travel.

Weakness:

Fighting Style
Smoke Tai: this users fighting style is of sneak attacks they try to user there smoke powers to get close enough to there target to capture them in there smoke and can then be used to suffocate or covering the body cut off oxygen making victims pass out.

* White Out (ホワイト･アウト, Howaito Auto): Shoots clouds of normal smoke from arms and uses them to engulf opponent, then makes the smoke denser to hold them in place. In the 4Kids dub, this attack is called Smoke Screen.

* White Blow (ホワイト･ブロー, Howaito Burō): Shoots a cloud of dense smoke from arms to blast opponent hard. After striking, you can then trap your opponent as with the White Out attack. Flame-Flame Fruit
Hot, Fire, Hard To Hit

Background:
The Mera Mera no Mi is a Logia type Devil Fruit that allows to user to transform into fire at will as well as control it. "Meramera" is the noise a fire makes when it burns. It was eaten by Portgas D. Ace.

The fruit's bestowed powers, as used by Ace, have been used for a variety of ways. Ace notably uses them usually either to fight or to propel his raft. During Ace's cover story, the powers of the fruit allowed Ace to rescue a Marine officer and some documents on board a burning ship.

Weakness:
- Weak against magma which can burn fire
- Standard Devil Fruit Weakness (Thrown In Water, or Sea Stone weapons Weaken or negate Fruit Powers)
- If caught off guard, the user will not be able to change into his Logia form and take physical damage

Strength:
- Can control and turn into fire
- Can take or cause fires

Rules:
• When hit by magma attacks it cancels out the flame fruits power
• Can burn a victim if left alone
• Can take any fire away from any object that has flames on it
• Must train for over 10 posts to be able to turn into fire when attacked as a reflex if not trained unaware attacks can hit you

Flame Dance: This user's fighting style is heading straight into the battle and taking any thing thrown at them while delivering fire damage.

* Enkai (炎戒, Flame Commandment): Amasses a large amount of flames around your body (usually by first swinging your outstretched hand around yourself, summoning the flames) in preparation for an attack. This is apparently the prerequisite technique before use of Hibashira.

* Hibashira (火柱, Fire Pillar): Used following Enkai. Shoots the collected flames straight upward, destroying a target above you.

* Hotarubi (蛍火, Firefly Light): Creates many small, glowing greenish fireballs that float around an enemy. The idea behind this attack's name is that before he attacks with them, the small fireballs look like fireflies in the air. This move is apparently used in preparation for Hidaruma.

* Hidaruma (火達磨, Fiery Doll): After using Hotarubi to send the fireballs floating around in proximity with the enemy, you send them all flying into the target(s) all at once, burning them.

* Shinka: Shiranui (神火 不知火, Sacred Fire: Mysterious Light at Sea): Hurls a long lances made out of fire. The lances have the combined effect of simultaneously burning an opponent while piercing them.

* Jūjika (十字火, Cross-fire): Puting index fingers together in a cross shape before launching a cross-shaped column of flame directly at your opponent.

* Dai Enkai (大炎戒, Great Flame Commandment): A stronger version of Enkai where the user summons great spiraling flames centered on your location before amassing it at a focused point (i.e. the palm of the hand) for a technique like Entei. In Unlimited Cruise, you first activate this move by first bending your knees slightly and then placing the outstretched palm of your hand towards the ground (with your other hand gripping the wrist for support), where the flames manifest.

Sand-Sand Fruit
Hot, Dry, Water, Hard To Hit

Background:
The Suna Suna no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit, eaten by Crocodile. Its powers were first shown, but not fully explained, being used to dry up a flower in a glass during the call between Crocodile and Sanji in Little Garden. The power of this fruit was finally shown in a battle between Crocodile and the Piggy Pirates.

Crocodile has shown to create sand blades that can slice through the ground, create sandstorms, quicksands, and cause dehydration by physical contact. In addition, Crocodile has shown to transform his arm into sand in order to extend his reach for his hook, as a long range capture and strike.

Weakness:
-Metals and Ferrous substances cant by dried out
-Standard Devil Fruit Weakness (Thrown In Water, or Sea Stone weapons Weaken or negate Fruit Powers)

Sand Coffin: This user uses long range attacks and rely's on using there sand powers to hit opponent with condensed sand sharp like a blade or use sand storms to blind opponent and get close to kill

Sand-Sand Fruit Powers List:
* Desert Spada (砂漠の宝刀 [デザート･スパーダ], Sabaku Hōtō [Dezāto Supāda], literally translated as Treasure Sword of the Desert): Forms right hand into a loose blade of fast-moving sand and then stabs it into the ground, extending it along the ground like a torpedo, splitting anything in its path, including the very ground itself, through extreme and focused erosion, created by the sand-blade, which is strong enough to slice a man in half.

* Desert Girasole (砂漠の向日葵 [デザート･ジラソーレ], Sabaku no Himawari [Dezāto Jirasōre], literally translated as Desert Sunflower): Creates another loose sand blade from your hand with Desert Spada. However, a giant pit of quicksand will be formed instead, with the sand being taking away by underground rivers (which you can detect). Anything caught in the pit will be sucked in and buried alive. This attack can only be done in a desert terrain.

* Sables (砂嵐 [サーブルス], Suna Arashi [Sāburusu], literally translated as Sandstorm): Summons a massive tornado of sand and sends it on a rampage. Once this sandstorm grows large enough, not even you can stop it. Makes a sandstorm that can suck the water out of living things and is apparently able to crack steel. Another usage is to send people flying with this technique

Rumble-Rumble Fruit
Electric, Static, Weather, Hard To Hit

Background:
The Goro Goro no Mi is a Logia type Devil Fruit that allows user to transform into electricity at will as well as control it. "Goro Goro" is the sound of thunder. It was eaten by Enel. It was mentioned by Robin as one of the fruits with the reputation of being invincible.

The powers of the fruit have been used by Enel mostly to enforce his self proclaimed divine right as god. This has ranged from punishing those who object his rule, to restarting his own heart after being weakened by seastone and receiving an attack from Wiper's Reject Dial. One of the most god-like use of the powers however is how Enel can use them to convey his surrounding. Because of the powers, Enel is able to listen to the electrical sound waves that traverse the very air itself.

Weakness:
- Rubber and other insulator type devil fruits can stop this devil fruit user
- Standard Devil Fruit Weakness (Thrown In Water, or Sea Stone weapons Weaken or negate Fruit Powers)

Lightning God: This fruit user likes to get close to there opponent to maximize the effect of there lightning attacks and doing this with a vary high speed and accuracy.

Chilly-Chilly Fruit
Freezing, Cold, Icy

Background:
The Hie Hie no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit, eaten by Aokiji. Its name stems from the Japanese word "hie hie", which means "chilly".

The main usage of this fruit's powers, as demonstrated by Aokiji, is for combat. With the power to manipulate ice, Aokiji can create weapons of ice or freeze his opponents with physical contact.

Another usage Aokiji demonstrated is for transportation across the ocean. He either freezes a large portion of the sea for other people to get across, or create a narrow track of ice for him to ride over with his bicycle, the Ao Chari. Aokiji is one of the few Devil Fruit users who has shown to adapt his powers for traveling over the sea.

Weakness:
- Can be hit with a physical attack

- Can turn surrounding, objects and self into ice

• When frozen by this user you have a time limit before you dying that being 5 posts after your frozen

Chilly-Chilly Fruit Powers List:
* Ice Age (氷河時代 [アイス･エイジ], Hyōgajidai [Aisu Eiji], literally translated as Glacier Period): An attack used only near the ocean or another large area of water. Place your hand in the water, then in an instant freezes it (anything in/on it) completely solid. The actual extent of the ice can stretch for miles and last for over a week. An alternate version of this is where you place your hand to the ground and uses your ability to instantly freeze an entire huge area turning it into an cold, frozen wasteland. Not only does it freeze the area, but anything and everything in the area, including living organisms, into completely frozen statues. It is undetermined how long the targets this version would remain frozen.

* Ice Saber (アイス･サーベル, Aisu Sāberu): Picks up several thin objects, such as blades of grass, and throws them into the air. Then blows on them with an icy breath that freezes them into a large, jagged sword of ice.

* Ice Time (アイス･タイム, Aisu Taimu): Touches your opponent's body, then freezes them into a human ice statue. They can remain alive for some time in their icy form, but any decent hit will shatter them to pieces.

Dark-Dark Fruit
Black Hole, Darkness, Black, Hard To Hit

Background:
The Yami Yami no Mi, is a Logia type Devil Fruit that allows the user to become "darkness". It originally belonged to Commander Thatch of Whitebeard's 4th division, but was stolen and eaten by Marshall D. Teach. This fruit is "unique" even for a Logia type. It is one of the most powerful of all Devil Fruits and is even considered by some to be the most powerful Devil Fruit.

The fruit's bestowed powers, as used by Teach, have been used so far for mostly combat purposes. He was able to defeat Ace in battle, his former commander, despite Ace possessing the Mera Mera no Mi.

Weakness:
-can be hit with all types of attacks
-Standard Devil Fruit Weakness (Thrown In Water, or Sea Stone weapons Weaken or negate Fruit Powers)
-damage dealt to this user is doubled by rank

Strength:
-can control gravity pulling opponent toward the user
-can suck anything in black flames and crush them
-when touching other devil fruit users can null their powers

Rules:
• When hit by a any attack the effects are doubled
•Can negate other devil fruit powers only when touching not being touched by opponent
• Can suck anything into black flame like substance and keep it there or spit it out, if living they will be hurt badly

Fighting Style
Black Holey: This user stays in one place and sends there darkness attacks every were doing long range damage and when they want to get close to some one they hold there hand out and bring them close to them selves but can only use this a maximum of 10 times per fight.

* Black Hole (闇穴道 [ブラック･ホール], Yami Ana Michi [Burakku Hōru], literally translated as Black Hole Path): Spreads your darkness over a large area and, much like a real black hole, swallows up anything he chooses. When swallowed it is subjected to a large amount of gravity and crushed, such as an entire village on the island of Banaro.

* Liberation (解放 [リベレイション], Kaihō [Ribereishon]): Used following Black Hole. Expels all of the destroyed remains of what the darkness has swallowed up at once. This is especially good at demonstrating your power.

* Kurouzu (闇水, Dark Vortex): Extending one arm towards his opponent, activates the gravity power of your darkness to pull them into your grasp. Can then attack them with his massive strength. This move is particularly useful in conjunction with the Yami Yami no Mi's power-nullifying abilities, since the target could easily avoid it by fighting at a distance from you.

Glint-Glint Fruit
Light, Beam, Yellow, Hard To Hit

Background:
The Pika Pika no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit consumed by Admiral Kizaru. "Pikapika" is an onomatopoeia of glimmering or shining light, making Kizaru the "Light Man".

Like most Logia fruits, this fruit makes the user immune to normal attacks by turning his body into light and allows him to create beams of light from his body. It also enables him to move at the speed of light and transport himself by means of reflection.

Kizaru has so far been shown using this fruit to travel at the speed of light (to the point of claiming Monkey D. Luffy in his Gear Second mode "slow"), augment his kicking strength dramatically, launch light-energy attacks that have explosive or piercing properties (depending on his way of using it), blind his opponents, and form an energy blade.

Weakness:

Light Speed: This devil fruit user relies on there instant speed and dead eye accuracy to hit opponents. They also use light based weapons to blind enemy's when fighting them to gain an advantage

Glint-Glint Fruit Powers List:
* Yata no Kagami (八咫鏡, Eight Span Mirror): Forms light in between your hands, and reflects it off any surface you wish. Then rides the light to get to your desired location, as well as blind your opponents.

* Ama no Murakumo (天叢雲剣, Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven): Forms a long sword out of light, similar to Admiral Aokiji's "Ice Saber" technique.

Magma-Magma Fruit
Magma, Heat, Volcano, Hard To Hit

Background:
The Maguma Maguma no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit consumed by Admiral Akainu.

Like most Logia fruits, this fruit makes the user immune to normal attacks by turning his body into magma and allows him to manipulate it at will. It also enables him to move at high speeds by launching himself like an actual volcano blast towards his target and can even melt tunnels to move underground.

Akainu has so far been shown using his signature method of offense, transform his fist into magma and launch it with a forward motion, much like a rocket. Which then explodes into many volcanic rock raining down at the battle area.

Weakness:
- Not used to physical damage
- Standard Devil Fruit Weakness (Thrown In Water, or Sea Stone weapons Weaken or negate Fruit Powers)
- Haki user can block this users attack

Strength:
- Can turn into Magma and avoid attacks
- Can burn fire
- User can burn almost anything they touch

• Must train for over 15 posts to be able to turn into fire when attacked as a reflex if not trained unaware attacks can hit you

Fighting Style
Volcanic Heat: This devil fruit user depends on their superb heat advantage and usually sends magma rockets into the air and explodes making volcanic rocks rain down damaging the area.

Magma-Magma Fruit Powers List:

* Dai Funka (大噴火, Great Eruption): User transforms their right fist into one made out of pure lava before throwing it forward, like an over-sized rocket, and similar in size to that of Luffy's fist whilst he's in Gear Third. The explosion causes volcanic rock to hit the ground, in a method similar to meteors.

* Ryūsei Kazan (流星火山, Meteor Volcano): User creates a great number of lava fists that they fire into the air in order to let them rain down upon the battlefield, causing enormous amounts of area damage. This looks like a cross between a meteor shower and a great eruption.

* Ganshō Kenga (岩漿犬牙, Magma Dog Fang): User creates a wave of magma, shaped like a dog's head, and launches it against his opponent.
