A black veil covered the sky, as if to conceal something from the rest of the world. The monotony of the howling winds was only broken by the ghostly bolts of lightning, which played a lonely dirge of thunder across the atmosphere.
"tap tap tap tap tap..." The sound of footsteps could be heard in the soft dirt.
Sora stopped to catch his breath. He thought to himself "Oh geez...why does the weather have to suck every time I have to get the milk?"
He once again began to run, as the weight of the milk carton began to take toll on his arm.
Up the steps...in the door, and finally to the kitchen.
Sora placed the carton on the counter and collapsed on a chair. His mother spoke, "Oh! Sorry, I forgot to tell you, I found an extra carton hidden in the back of the fridge. Silly me."
All Sora could do was laugh.
