Tell me what you think about my Revolution DS/gba controller idea
well.. i guess it could work for all the gameboy advance systems too....
i was playing my PSP a couple days ago and i was watching a promo on my psp about ridge racer psp ((which really has the best sound track on the sampler disc)) when i saw the bumper view of the driving exp. . i and i thought why not use the portable system as a streeing wheel well knowing the psp there is no way to add on to it to give it a censor. When i came to the conclusion that it couldnt be done with the psp i just turn on my side and thats when it hit me ((literally)) ::my ds fallen on me:: The gba had carts that had motion sensors, why not use it on the ds or else the gba to use for a controller for racing games ,or others, on the revolution?
How the ds version would be used: arrow the system could be closed and be used like a steering wheel arrow the system could be open and the touchable screen could be use as a weapons select or else be used as a mirror to see whos behind you and the top as a foward view arrow it could be wireless or Linked
How the Gba and micro would be used: arrow they would be held like the closed control of the ds and would arrow it could be linked or wireless
How the GBA SP would be used: arrow it could either be open or closed like the ds but wouldnt work on arrow it could be linked or wireless
post your opinons

I personally like your idea. However the thing is that it would over complicate things and Nintendo doesn't want that. It wants to lure in brand new types of gamers while at the same time satisfy their existing fans.
But then again, tilt sensors would be nice for anyone who doesn't want to purchase a revolution controller. Practically the same functions in motion sensoring would be used, with the exception of the analog add on, though that could be implemented somehow.....
Edited: actually GB Micro can play WW Twisted, but I don't see how it can play Revolution games unless there's a GBA adaptor..... confused

Cool idea but it might be hard to actually do in a game.....for the player anyway, not to make the game. It just seems....awkward compared to the actual revolution controller. confused

Nintendo did a sensor system with a Kirby game on GBC, you tilt it, it's like tilting a table, and Kirby rolls like the pudgy pink marshmellow ball he is. ^_^ it would be interesting if a rumble was also added to the game to make it more difficult to steer for these games.
handheld racing games involving steering... if you just want the steering then okay, but it would be more realistic to steer and when you crash the rumble kicks in to make steering more difficult, and you feel a slight rumble when you grind against a wall, but the rumble is hard and continuous if you do a really dangerous crash that REALLY shakes you up like when your car flips high into the air after hitting another car or a wall or even a jump meant for half a car. even apply it to motorcycles.
