So, we were supposed to have student staff auditions tomorrow, friday April 9. Well, today, my bd decided to switch it to next week, due to a lack of judges.
Why does this upset me?
I'm supposed to be at a meeting planning for summer camp that day. It happens everytime soemthing changes. He changes something at the last minute, after everyone has made plans. So now I've got to figure out how to get to both. Auditions start at 3 and the meeting is at 7.
any ideas to help me do both? I do not know when student staff auditions will end.
my bd usually does the same thing, so he hasnt announced when dm auditions are yet just 4 that reason. i even goes to texting us in the middle of class and says "oh we have practice right after school. did i forget to mention that?" it happens when he forgets he has an fba meeting (florida band association) or since i live in florida we have really bad weather, especially when it gets hot and are forced to cancel practice because the school board said no afterschool activities. That happened a few weeks ago, during 4th block (last block of the day) there was a tornado spotted in the city next to us so we all were held an hr after school was supposed to end and we all were told that all afterschool activities were cancelled or postponed. lol florida weather sux!! As for the helping u, i second what Omg Jaki said. Go to auditions as soon as they start, try to be one of the first ones to audition, and then go to your meeting. Omg Jaki's right, auditions shouldn't 4 hours. We auditioned i think 8 or 9 drum majors in like 1 1/2 to 2 hours and it's a pretty long audition process so i'm sure you'll be fine. I'm not really sure how many people are auditioning in your band but i'm SURE it won't take that long
smile Hoped this helped and Good Luck!!!!
