Alex sat up in a tree near the river. Sunlight filtered through the leafs and branches of all the nearby trees. He sat silently playing his guitar. Things had been really slow lately and he hadn't really talked to anyone either. He Couldn't think of any real friends that he had at the camp.He sighed sadly and kept playing his guitar. Even though he enjoyed being by himself he still wished for a friend, the problem was he wasn't really the person who enjoyed talking to people he hadn't met before which made everything even harder. 'I guess someone will be my friend eventually...' he thought.

I walked silently to the creek. I sat and the warm grass. I was in an amazing mood which was a first for the last few weeks. I suddenly heard music coming from a guitar. I looked over at a kid under a tree playing guitar. I smiled at him. I took the small owl necklace off from my neck and started fiddling with it for no apparent reason.Then I touched the owls small emerald eye and suddenly turn into a large steel sword. "Whoa!" the kick off the change had nearly pushed me backwards. "No way" I said slowly. My hands shot in the arm and I yelled "Thank you momma!" I carefully inspected the sword. On the blade of the sword in Greek lettering it said "My Daughter" the hilt was made of a gold color metal. On the hilt there was the same owl as my necklace. I touched the same eye and it suddenly turned back into a necklace.

"Just discover your magical weapon?" Alex said and laughed a bit looking at a near by girl, "they surprise you the first time, especially when you accidentally open it and fall over knocking someone into the lake." He said remembering when he first discovered his bow.

I laughed a little at image of someone being knock into the lake with a bow. I rolled over on the grass to face the boy. I held out my hand for him to shake. "I'm Emma by the way" I smiled at him. I begged that he hadn't ever heard of me. I'd have enough with the Oh, you're Emma thing from people. I didn't know how everyone knew about. I hadn't done that much...well that wasn't exactly true. I laughed at myself.

Alex took the girls hand and shook it, "nice to meet you Emma i'm Alex, son of apollo." He said and smiled at the girl. Surprised you found me not a lot of people come wandering out around here." He said and looked around the peaceful area

"Well I've been here for a few months and never even been close to here so I decided it be a good idea." A good place to get my mind off things I didn't add that last part. He didn't need to know my life story.

Alex nodded, "i come here when ever I want to think about something or just to be alone it is quiet peaceful out here." He said and looked around the clearing again looking at the amazing scenery of the clearing they were in.

"Yeah it's really nice" I said taking in all that was around me. Suddenly a wave of tiredness washed over me. I looked up and relaized the sun was about to set. I stood up. "I'm going to go but it was nice talking to you. Maybe we can get togeth later. If not I guess I'll probably see you around. Bye" I turned to walk to my cabin to get some much needed rest.
