Carmelia smirked and hugged Luke. "You think," she said,holding up her hand. It was red and charred looking. She picked up Luke's hand and showed him the red exterior forming around his fingers. She saw him wince as she ran her fingers over them. "Be careful with the Stygian Iron. It is only mean to work for children of Hades. No one else can use it," she warned,"unless you are favored by Hades anyways."

"Well, I don't need much of it," Luke said, "So I think I can afford to break it a little. I just need enough to turn into metal spikes just like my celestial bronze ones. I need only four though. I'm going to keep my left-handed cestus completely bronze. So, hm, about a pound of it?"
He picked up a hammer and brought it down on the Stygian iron, cracking it straight down the middle. He put on a pair of gloves and cautiously pried it apart, releasing the Stygian water within upon the floor. He stepped away nervously until it disappeared, at which point he returned to work. He put a half onto a pan and set it in a furnace to melt. He turned around and talked while he waited.
"So, anyway. I think I might as well ask about your birth circumstances. How exactly are a daughter of Mars and a daughter of Apollo sisters? I mean, it's impossible to be full sisters, and I think the gods would be pretty..." He stopped himself and thought of a last-second word switch. "Furious if your mom played with two of their hearts."

Carmelia smiled. Everyone asked that,always. "Yeah,we are twins and the gods were furious. That's why I came to camp so early. They killed my mother," she said,no longer smiling. How could she smile? She had just told how the two gods had killed her mother,who had bore them both daughters. She pushed the sadness away and tried for a smile. "Anyway," she said,"we weren't normal children."

"Well..." Jake said feeling a little awkward. "I'm going to get out of your ways, guys. Luke, I'm gonna go scrounge around for that Giant Hogweed stuff. Carmelia, enjoy your day and try not to kill my buddy here." Jake jumped off his anvil, and swung his guitar around. As he walked out of the armory, he begin to whistle and play "Rider of the Storm".

(Sorry about the long delay. Holidays and stuff.)
Luke waved as Jake left to search for the Hogweed.
"I can see that," he said to Carmelia. "Like you, I only have half-siblings, even though it would be awesome to have a full sibling. But from what I've heard the gods basically have a greet-and-go system with mortals." He could sympathize, but he felt it better not to mention that.

Carmelia shrugged. "we are FULL sibling,just not from the same gods. It's complicated," she said. She kicked at the dirt,revealing a little key. She didn't know what it went to,but she slipped it in her pocket anyway.
