I have to agree with warrior ninja winter with Hetalia. Very funny, yet educational. If you're still looking, GetBackers is a really good anime and manga to get into. After the first three episodes you'll be hooked. :3

Skip Beat(which has only the first season on anime~ anticipating the next season >3>)

[Dengeki Daisy]
[Goong](live action as well~ VERY CUTE! The English name is Princess Hour~ They also have Prince Hour...which is okay too I guess)

Hana Yori Dango(which has live action in Korean, Japanese, and Taiwanese~ it is a must watch, must read classic)

Don't know if someone's suggested it already, but...

Hellsing! It's a little bloody and violent, but the anime and the manga are awesome!
