Personality:
Hyorin has a natural glow, and an ethereal beauty to boot. Unfortunately, she puts a whole new meaning to "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." She has sharp, yet eloquent words. However, this is ruined by a clearcut, cynical mindset. She tends to say things that people would rather not hear, and because of this, she is often secluded from others, (though one cannot tell if she truly prefers it this way). Hyorin is exceedingly guarded against the unknown, and cannot stand it if things aren't going exactly as she plans it.
Virtues:
Hard work: Due to her sincere dislike for people, she is naturally left alone to do her work, or any matters really. Out of this, Hyorin developed a strong independence and work ethic. She doesn't like stopping until she has finished something, but she does realize her limits. Overall, she is a hard worker, but nothing extraordinary in this category.
Responsibility: She believes that if you start something, you should finish it. She is irked if one does not take responsibility, especially when it comes to actions. She despises lazy people for this, but then, disliking people is nothing new for her. If she starts a task, she will finish it, if she finds it worthwhile. She believes that punishment should be payed through an equal system. As they say, "an eye for an eye." She leaves off the "leaves the world blind" part.
Expression + honesty: While it could also be called a bad trait, Hyorin has the habit of speaking her mind immediately. Some honor this as freedom of expression. It crosses the line sometimes (most of the time) because she lacks a true sensitivity to others. She can tell if someone is upset, but it doesn't particularly affect her. This expression sometimes backfires as she has an incredibly difficult time lying to others.
Flaws:
Cynicism: She has a natural cynicism towards the world, but especially other people. She thinks most things are rather mechanical and lifeless, and in essence, "dumb." She developed this because of how most only look at her beauty, rather than who she is. It hasn't developed into nihilism, but unless she is saved rather quickly, who knows what will happen.
Loneliness: Because of the way she drives people off, she obviously has a natural loneliness. She tries to convince herself that she really doesn't need people in this stupid mechanical world, but she's currently confused about whether or not she desires friends.
Hair frustration: She doesn't particularly enjoy her hair. To her, it feels like a furry rat sitting on her head. She constantly debates about cutting it off, and it bothers her to no end. However, she would never cut it because someone once told her it was the best part about her appearance.
Likes:
Order + efficiency: She is a bit of stickler for things to be orderly. Not so far as to say OCD, but if something is out of her control, say the weather, she gets frustrated.
Simple things: She is not a very ambitious girl, and because of that she doesn't particularly need anything extravagant. A straw mat is the same as a posh feather bed to her.
Fluffy animals: It is more of a guilty pleasure for her, but she can't help but feel attached to fluffy animals, especially if they're smaller. She tries not to like them though, because it is seen as a weakness in her eyes.
Dislikes:
Jewelry + trinkets: However, she has quite the opposite feeling for (what she calls) extra baggage. She dislike the clink-clanks that jewelry makes, and other small objects as well. Things that are used as extra appearance-enhancers bother her.
Cities: Because of her belittling attitude, she prefers to live in villages, due to the smaller population. Her judgmental attitude also makes it harder to live with others. She likes less modern things as well (though that's just a personal preference of hers)
Quirks:
She always follows paths, she highly dislikes diverting from the path and never takes any detours. She couldn't even imagine bushwacking.
She enjoys the feeling of straw, it gives her a sort of ecstasy (nothing abnormally weird though).
She enjoys cleaning, though she has to be alone if she's going to do it. She's a terrible cook and hates children, so I doubt she'd be a very good housewife. In other words, she likes the idea of a battle partner, rather than a loving, romantic husband.

Personality:
Shinju is a very distracted twili. She often spaces out and forgets what is going on around her. Despite this, she is very patient and calm, always debating about what to do next. She is more of a pacifist than a fighter, and loves sitting by rivers and dozing off. However, she is also very distant and stand-offish because of this. As they say, he who wants a pearl must dive into the sea.
Virtues:
Inner Peace: Shinju's demeanor has always been calm, even when she was little. It is rumored that the only time she cried during her younger years was when she was first born. She typically does not rush into things, though when she breaks her expression, it can either be harmonically angelic, or terrifyingly intimidating.
Patience: As an oyster can take up to twenty years to make the perfect pearl, Shinju can wait ages for anything she desires. However, because of this trait, she often gets taken advantage of. While she will have no natural desire for revenge against a person who makes a meeting with her and never shows up, she often puts most of the blame on herself.
Need an Ear?: Although Shinju is very VERY spacey, she is a very good listener. She has the ability to sit and listen to someone, without adding commentary or rude remarks. Although sometimes when she listens, she begins to day-dream, she can usually recover the jist of the conversation afterwards.
Flaws:
RAAAAAGE: Due to her patient and calm demeanor, Shinju does have moments of what can almost be called violence. However, as she is older she's learned to control her anger, at least to the point where she can get away from any place she can cause harm (ie: she will go to a desolate place and start screaming haha).
Day-Dreamer: Shinju has the habit of day-dreaming a lot. She has a creamy look on her face when she does so, but can focus when necessary (even then her mind wanders a bit...). Sometimes when she talks to people, her mind begins to wander and her eyes gloss over, and those who don't know her well sometimes take it offensively.
Intimacy/Connections: Due to this off-putting spaciness, Shinju often has a hard time connecting with people. She has friends and family, but has always been the one to stand away from the group in photos. However, she doesn't notice this disconnection, and because she doesn't notice, she doesn't care.
Likes:
Intricacy: She loves, to the point of obsession, intricate things. She like complex puzzles that leave her confused, and asking for more. A small bag, hidden in her obi, contains some glass marbles, small gears, and other items of interest for her. Unfortunately though, she is usually not very good at figuring out these puzzles.
Water: Indicated by her wick, Shinju is very attracted to bodies of water. However, she doesn't like to "contaminate" the water by being in it. She would much rather sit by the waterside and listen, in fact she often tends to spend much of her time doing this.
Dislikes:
River "Debris": Or rather, anything every being in the river. While she dislikes trash in the river, like normal twili, she also dislikes the rocks, grass, sand, everything! She despises fish most of all, because she feels as though they shouldn't live in something so pretty. She makes an exception for koi fish though, as they provided income for many fishers at the village where she grew up (yeah, she's strange like that).
Quirks:
That's right. For some strange reason, Shinju really enjoys walking on her toes. Maybe it's because it makes her feel taller, maybe it's because her heels hurt, who knows.
Shinju also sometimes picks up small objects she finds along her journey. It's become a forcive habit.
