The Quidditch pitch is an oval-shaped, 500 feet long and 180 feet wide, with a small central circle approximately 10 feet in diameter. At each end stand three hooped goal posts, each at a different height: one at 30 ft, one at 40 ft, and one at 50 ft, comprising the scoring area. There is also a line that shows mid-field, which is 180 ft. The Quidditch pitche features spectator seating at high vantage points, in a fully-encircling platform around the pitch.
The field is open to House teams to practice at any time, except during classes and after-hours, unless otherwise instructed by a professor. Game times are to be decided at the start of the school year, when the House teams have been formed.
