Mick wondered what he was thinking they could even do. It's not like you could fly with two little feathers on year head.
Mick chocked a little.
"Er, yes, yes it does." he agreed.
A lifetime's practice at hanging on for his dear life was about to face the greatest test.

"It looks fun." the girl said, a bit of a mischievous grin sliding across her lips. She looked excited and ready to go, though looking at Mick he seemed a bit more nervous, "Y'okay? We dun have ta go if you don't wanna!" the girl offered with a giggle. She didn't want to force him into anything, that would just be mean.
"But if ya do wanna go at least ya won't be alone, I can ride with ya and make sure you're safe!" Abi showed how brave she was, puffing out her chest a little as if she were some adorable little superhero.

"No, I'll go." Mick said, still unsure if she really should or not.
When he was her puff out her chest, he gave her a look as though the only the right half of his face had eaten something sour. He didn't know what she thought she could do to help him, but he didn't feel like pressing the issue.

"Okay then, let's gooo~!" the girl said, taking large steps without thinking because she was so excited to get on and ride the slide. "I bet it'll go super duper fast!" she pointed out, her tone showing her eagerness for the rush.
The slide was quite tall, especially to little ones, with parts of it covered so they would slide through the dark. It had lots of twists and turns, and (at least to Abi) looked awesome.
"My hair's gonna be all droopy!" she pouted for a moment before deciding that it would be worth it and seeming to shrug the expression off.

"Ye-Yeah." Mick stammered. At none of her statements in particular. He gulped. He decided that, if she was going, he was going.
They both looked at the drop. Mick gupled again. They both got on and held onto a handle, with the outside hand eachother with the free hand (the slide operator told them do and Mick was not aboiut to ignore a saftey precaution!).
As they went down the long drop Mick pinched his eyes shut. He was wasn't able to see anything, which might have made it scairer. He screached a loud, defeaning screach that echoed though the closed parts of the slide.

Abi had nodded as the safety-man instructed them, listening intently and thankful when the guy finished and they got pushed down into the long span of tunnels and running water.
She heard Mick's screams, and screamed herself only hers were mixed evenly with laughter. Yes, it was pretty scary zooming around on the slide but it was super fun at the same time. Every once in a while she would get more scared than usual and grip Mick's hand tightly as if it would somehow help her, but usually she was okay.
Unlike the other she kept her eyes open, wanting to take in every little bit of the experience she could, "WOOOAAAHHHHHH! MICK IT'S SOOOOO FAST!" she shouted, though Mick was most likely quite aware of this himself.
After a few more turns and some unroofed areas they went through one last bit of tunnel and went through a waterfall to come out at the bottom. The girl squealed in joy, "Wasn't that AWESOME!?" she exclaimed.

Mick still had his eyes pinched shut. He was shaking a little, but his fight had caused numbness and prevented him from feeling it.
"Is it over?" He asked, weakly. His voice was strained from the imagined dangers. His feathers were soaking wet. He was too scared to open his eyes.

"Aww, is'okay. S'done now." the girl said with a reassuring smile, still holding the other child's hand for comfort. "If ya didn't like fast stuff ya shoulda just told me silly!" she giggled softly.
She felt a bit bad, but that feeling faded quickly since she was still a young child. "We can go on da lazy river now! All ya do for that one is just lay there, it doesn't go fast or anythin'." Abi suggested, hoping Mick would enjoy that a bit more than it seemed he did the waterslide.
