by laptop used to BSOD a lot. Well, back 2 fridays ago, it crashed again. but this time, the startup files in the OS got corrupted, and it wouldn't let me boot up my computer. So, without one, I was pretty down. Luckily, searching through my old computer case I found the operating system disk for windows vista. (it also has an anytime upgrade disk, so I'm gonna use that with my new desktop, whenever I get it) So, seeing no other choice, I reinstall windows vista on my lappy.
this turned out to be a blessing in disguise, people. By doing this, it removed all those pesky programs that came with my laptop, and I no longer had to worry about any of that. furthermore, it saved all my files in an archive folder, which I imported into the appropriate folders, then deleted the rest. After that, I proceeded to fully update vista, download avg antivirus and do a scan, and then defrag my system. everything but the updates took the first day. After that, I downloaded all the programs I desired to have on my laptop, which included a freeware alternative to office, avg, itunes, skype, vent, and a few other programs.
Now, my computer is fully updated, with the stuff I want on it. And because all that other crap was deleted, my computer has been working better than ever! It takes no time at all to boot up my computer now, which times in at about 3 minutes or so. It shuts down faster as well, and the overall performance has just improved. It sucks that it happened, but I'm glad it did.

My computer likes to overheat, and brick spontaneously. It needs updates that it doesn't tell you about every few weeks or things (speakers, headphone jack, mic, flash player) will stop working randomly. and the keys on the keyboard come up easily.

I am a poor student. I don't have an income. So I got some computer parts from school (with permission ofc). And some parts from my friends. I built my own computer. I didn't have an OS, so I decided on the cheapest thing. Linux. I started off with Debian, but I figured out after a year that I wouldn't be able to get the wifi receptor to work. So I got Ubuntu. Ubuntu was fine. But then I updated something, and then downloaded something, and the OS stopped working or something. D: So I had to reinstall it. It was fine until it wanted to do a routine check. It said that there were some problems with my files, and that I'd have to do a manual check. Since I had no idea what to do, I restarted the computer. Didn't help, just checked again. So I tried the manual thing... I just put in random commands, and then it asked me if it could delete some files... sad So I had to delete some files against my will. Hasn't happened since. But Open Office has crashed. surprised

Most of the time, It was my parents hollering they were going to kick the computer off the roof because of our (and I quote), "damned dial-up connection". Good thing I have my own fast computer now, huh?

multiple sites or blogs sometimes provide answers to the problems that exist in a computer or laptop, sometimes to the application supporting the Internet speed
for your computer to run fast, do not forget to always defrag and disk clean up your computer
and to speed up your internet speed you can change the settings broser, or adding tools like OpenDNS Speed Internet
