My internet was being a pain as well, so I had to wait. I felt that the Doctor should have said sorry once just cause he spit food all over Amelia's floor. There were a lot of positives in the story. The fact that he was 12 years late stopped romance from immediately being a concern. The fact that much of the town knew him was a nice funny addition. He did appear to be trying to be DT a bit, but I'm not judging until the second episode. My main complaint was that the aliens were far too underdeveloped. In Blink there was a reason for the Angels to kill people. These aliens had no motives.

I thought he was being just plain rude. I wanted to hit him with a newspaper. but I had to laugh when he was saying "gimme." He's like a little kid, so I guess it makes sense that the new Tardis looks like a children's museum threw up in it.

I am the only one who thought of the music video for "Fireflies" when they saw the new Tardis?

I thought some of the things they had the doctor say were kinda eh....like "Oh you sexy thing" when he looked at the tardis. And the whole food scene made him look rude and childish. I also had a hard time with the whole "What did I see thing" when they zoomed around the village. It was kinda weird, i guess. Hopefully the next few episodes are better. I actually liked Matt, I just thought the lines coulda been better, and maybe some of the scenes.

I thought the zoom around the village thing showed his thought process, but had an unnecessary step. I also hope they never do that again. As a one time explanatory thing its acceptable. Matt did a good job and I liked that he was willing to look ridiculous, and be serious

I really enjoyed the episode. I was a little skeptical myself about Matt at first but I am confident that everything will work out well. The zooming around the village was interesting, showing how the Doctor sees things differently than us. The whole food thing cracked me up blaugh , though. Yes he was a bit rude, but little Amelia seemed to not mind much, considering she continued to cook. (Evil bread and butter, stay out!! xp ) Well, finally the new season has started in America and I can be happy and giddy again ever Saturday night! biggrin

I think I missed something but could someone please explain how that is different than how we see things? Pretend I am very stupid for a moment.

He was making very very quick observations, it would take a little longer than a blink of the eye to notice some of those things, like the Doctor saw.

And "we" don't see things this way?

Have you ever seen the show psych? Its sort of like that. One guy holding his cell phone at a man versus the sun would most likely be overlooked as just an other man recording the sun, but the doctor noticed it was different.

I get you. I have heard people with OCD notice more. I have OCD and perhaps that is my problem. It is kinda nice though, I only just came to the relaisation that I seen things differently than some people. I find myself wishing they would do a show where the cam pans inside Amy's eye.

Wooh OCD!!!
A camera through the way Amy sees things would be very interesting.....

I wanna see where the cam pans and see's inside Amy's gash. and we find out it's the same shape as the crack. A big Ginger crack.

Speaking of Cracks, I was watching Matt Smith in Frampton on Sea today. Seem's like they are shooting the xmas special.

Yeah he falls in love with her in the first 20mins.. well, 2mins. it's sad and THEY KISS later on.
What the heck are you talking about? I JUST finished watching it and there's nothing like what you're talking about.

She even asks him why he'd bring her, and he confirms her query that it's because he's lonely now. Not because he falls in love with her or nonsense like that. And she's engaged. neutral rolleyes

Unless the scene is deleted later on, he confirms it in episode 4. You get the idea he cares for her though or he wouldn't of seen the need to keep going back for her.
In episode 4, he looks at Amy and says something that hints he picked her up because he liked her but he didn't say he loved her.
They do kiss later on though but it's Amy who seems to be doing the forcing and you will understand why when it happens but you can tell that DW liked it.

Yeah, they kissed later on. By that I mean she forced herself on him and literally jumped at him.
He was doing everything in his power to get her off him and keep his clothes ON. And remarking how it's wrong and she's clearly out of her mind.

They're not in love, I don't know what that is with Amy, but it's much more lusting than love. She's like a little sister to him. It's very clear to me how they react to each other that it's that kind of familial relationship. Big brother wants to protect little sister. He cares about her and wants her safe. He's kissed her on the forehead a few times but it's never been anything lingering or in any way saying "I love you".

Also, she's still engaged. The Doctor knows that you don't mess with that. He's more protesting now than he was with Mme de Pompadour because the relationship was different. Reinette was to the point of seducing him and knew exactly what she was doing. Amy announces that she's engaged and then immediately jumps on the Doctor and all but declares she wants to have sex. The Doctor still remembers her well as the little girl/little sister figure. Poor Doctor. confused

Additionally. Michael Jackson's Corpse. Please quit posting those kind of remarks because it's not funny and actually quite rude. Several people in this guild have asked you to stop nicely and now I'm telling you that you do need to cut it out.
