I don't think it is entirely true: Sure, it seems true, but i daresay, that there maybe is no "normal" as such, so the internet really only draws forth the inherent abnormalities that already exist.

The point is simple. If you take an average person, give them the power to be anonymous in a crowd, there is a 50% chance they will become a rude and annoying troll.
