Great youtube channel by libertarians. Some of them you may have seen on Fox News and their business segments or also on the Drew Carrey Show. Yes Drew Carrey is part of the Reason Foundation.

It's got some really thought provoking stuff, and in some instances funny or just plain smart. They've been extremely good at what they do, and they really do mean "Reason". All of their stuff is logical, free of radical fear mongering and they're just entertaining. They usually have authors on every so often to talk about a new book related to libertarian ideals and the like.

One recently spoke about his book "Wingnuts: How the Lunatic Fringe is hijacking America" and how Libertarians are essentially making up the "new" center of the American political spectrum and how Independents are growing more and more in America. This is is explained by the people joining the Independents are usually fiscally conservative and socially liberal. Put that together and you generally have a libertarian.

So yay for not being viewed as far right anymore!

I subscribed to it, and found it was ironic how the first video I watched was the one defending the Tea Party.

On a side note: Why does the guild not like Tea Partiers?

Probably because they are too closely aligned with the republicans.

Yeah I don't like them because of that reason personally.

I like that they have some libertarian values in there, but they lean on the GOP too much. I really hate the fact that they even had Sarah Palin speak at their gigs.

On the same vein I think Glenn Beck is a neo-con in libertarian clothing who would do much better if he didn't talk about religion like it's the only saving grace of the American civilization. I'm religious, but I don't go shoving it down everyone's throats like some do.

I try to shove my politics down people's throats though. XD

I wouldn't say Glenn is a Neo con, exactly. I tend to think of him as being on the Libertarian/Conservative borderline. True, his religious talk does tend to turn me off, but his political discussions I mostly agree with. I've pretty much stopped watching glenn Beck, or ANY news source, because its simply too much bad news for me to take in anymore. It seems our only "victories" are in managing to maintain the status quo a little longer by stopping bills that would make things worse. You could say I'm on hiatus from the political world at the moment. I'll get back into it soon, but right now, I can't even watch The Daily show or The Colbert Report. Thats how fed up I am with the way things are right now.

Yeah, I've been pretty much the same way with the news for months now. Thing is, I can't stop, because all my fiction's pretty political, and I use the news as ******** man. I was looking at getting admitted to a mental ward a few weeks back it was so bad. I've been getting so jaded. It's hard to keep writing when everything's so bad. I might go and re-read 1776 soon.

Gain some inspiration to keep fighting.
