I don't own a single MC that I would consider "useful". They're all pretty, but I can't ever think of a decent way to use any of them. I think the most useful MC I own is the pixie.
When I buy new items, I honestly don't care what they look like, as long as I can afford them. That doesn't mean I like expensive items. I like cheap items. I think on my gaia obsession is to have the largest inventory possible. xD I do try my hardest to use completely different items in every avatar I make. I used to think that having a huge inventory would make it easier to create new outfits. It doesn't. I should really make a checklist of all the items I have and haven't equipped.
I think Golden Wings are useful. I just can't afford them. =P

On golden wings: I don't like their specific shade of yellow. I see gold too much in matching avatars. I would like to have a pair of golden wings but I wouldn't use them as much because I've been avoiding excessive use of gold in avatars.
I always thought of doing a matching-marathon, trying to make an a matching avatar out of each of my items and each of the non-pet poses of my items, at least once. But then I looked at my invo I thought it would take way too much work. LOL
But I've been trying to include some items that I usually wouldn't wear, especially when non-matching. Like the onion dress, it's adorable, but it's shade is hard to work with.
