So Nintendo announced yesterday that the successor to the DS will be the 3DS, a handheld system that features 3D effects WITHOUT the use of glasses... So now I'm wondering...

Is the 8th Generation of gaming going to be the 3D generation?

Let's take a step back... Generations in gaming examples:

Gen 1 - Magnavox Odyssey (Beginning Gen)
Gen 2 - Atari 2600 (4-bit Gen)
Gen 3 - NES (8 bit)
Gen 4 - SNES (16 bit)
Gen 5 - PS1 (64 bit)
Gen 6 - X-Box (128/dvd gen)
Gen 7 - Wii, PS3, 360 (current Generation) (HD gen)

Soooooo..... What do you think? With the recent uprise of movies being in 3D ALL the ******** time, will the new systems ALSO have 3D effects?...

I'm curios as to how their doing this.
It might cause problems, I know when I saw alice in wonderland in 3d, I got motion sickness.

Lmao, the red, eye straining, hardly 3D software. Only about 13 games were made for that piece of crap...

And it was to hold us over for the N64... Lmao!

However, it did create a good 3D effect in some games, such as Mario Tennis. But this will be in COLOUR and not Red and Black xD
