Rhilira accepted the stew with a grateful smile. All of this was actually making her quite hungry. "People don't like her, then?" she inquired after swallowing a hearty mouthful of the stew. Politics were universal, and it was important to get a grasp on them as soon as possible, even if it's just a general one. Weyrs were no different - and, she figured, it was actually more important probably. Especially if she were to Impress.

At this, Ralae shrugged. Eating like she had a tunnel snake in her belly to feed, the youth began to eat with a single-minded purpose. Taking a pause in her feeding, the young teen continued. "I guess people do and don't like her. Can't have everyone like you..."
She closed her mouth with that comment. There was no need to admit that not many liked her. But, this person was new and a potential new friend or ally against other weyr brats. "Either way, she is the Weyrwoman and Feynath is a lovely gold. And with eggs on the Sand, all us brats and Searched folk should just worry about a good Impression."

"That's true," she replied with a nod. "I guess now isn't really the time to worry about it, that's true." She'd have to get a grasp on everything quickly before Impression, then she could worry about politics. Even though she had just arrived, she wasn't going to up and leave again if she didn't Impress. It would be awhile before her train passed through the islands again anyway, since the hold had been their last stop before sailing to the Northern Continent, and she wasn't about to ask a rider to fly her all over Pern trying to find them...
She focused on her food for a few minutes, chewing the savory stew thoughtfully. It was better than anything they made on the road - she really would have to teach her family to cook. Or at least invest in some herbs so their meat wasn't so bland... The amount of flavor in this stew was much greater than in an entire dinner with her family.

Ralae finished her bowl of soup. Looking around, she noticed several people that could help figure out what to do with Rhilira. It was almost time for her to report to afternoon chores. Standing up and waving her hand madly, she caught the attention of a blur rider.
"L'kyt! Hey over here! I need your help with something! Yoo hoo! This way!" Ralae called at the top of her lungs.
Mission accomplished. A middle aged rider with dark brown hair and brown eyes walked over to them. He had on the rank cords of a blue rider and also some sort of weyr assistant. Perhaps to the candidate master, either way he was a good person for Ralae to pass the newcomer off to and hopefully earn some kudos.
"Okay, so this girl Rhilira just came to the weyr, she was Searched. Do you know who Searched you? Anyways, she was Searched and just dropped off with no one waiting for her! SO I brought her here because she looked like she could use some feeding but I couldn't find the Candidate Master or the Headwoman but I am sure you can find somewhere to take her?" All of this came out in a very quick manner. Grinning from ear to ear, she looked at Rhilira and stuck her hand out. "It was good meeting you and I am sure I will see you around. I can always help you out, I like helping. But you better go with L'kyt. You can trust him okay?"
